Eleven people were confirmed dead as of Saturday (July 20) morning following the partial collapse of a highway bridge in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local authorities said.

00:10The Provincial Publicity Department reported that the bridge, located in Zhaoshui County
00:15in Shangluo City, collapsed around 8.40pm on Friday due to a sudden downpour and flash
00:21floods.
00:22By 10am on Saturday, rescue teams had recovered five vehicles that had fallen into the river.
00:29Rescue operations are underway.
