00:27They were jointly accused of causing the death of 38-year-old S. Pravinthan in a hotel swimming

00:32pool in Port Dickson at 2 a.m. on July 13.

00:36The charge, under Section 304A of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34, carries

00:43a maximum jail term of two years, or a fine, or both.

00:48The court granted bail of 4,000 ringgit each with one surety.

00:52In the same court, the five individuals also pleaded not guilty to a second charge of inserting

00:57drugs into their bodies, an offense allegedly committed at the Port Dickson Police Headquarters

01:02between 12.20 a.m. and 1 a.m. on July 14.

01:06The court allowed them bail of 2,000 ringgit each and fixed September 3 for mention of

01:12both cases.
