00:00Traveling from Alabang, Montinlupa to Clark, Pampanga in less than an hour.

00:06It's just one of the many North-South Commuter Railway Projects

00:10that have high-tech trains like the ones in other countries.

00:13When will we be able to ride them?

00:15Joseph Moro is on the scene.

00:19Fast, reliable, and high-tech.

00:22That's how the North-South Commuter Railway Project, or NSCR, will experience their trains.

00:28The trains are new, and there are no abroad fields.

00:32Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista has already sampled

00:35how it will run through a train simulator.

00:39Trains like this will be used in NSCR when that line is already running,

00:45just like the trains used in Japan.

00:48As of now, according to the DOTR,

00:50they are still studying how many will be used for massaging,

00:53but this will not be far from massaging in MRT and LRT.

00:57We'll make this affordable.

00:59For sure, this will be at least as far with the fares of buses and jeeps.

01:07Right now, the present fares of MRT-1, LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3

01:18are cheaper than regular bus and jeep fares.

01:24There are more than 51 trainsets for commuters in the entire NSCR line,

01:29and there are 7 dedicated trainsets that are express,

01:32that will travel directly to Clark International Airport in Pampanga

01:36from its station in Buendia and Alabang.

01:39The journey is only 40 minutes.

01:42The entire NSCR runs from Calamba to Clark,

01:46but according to the Department of Transportation,

01:49West Valenzuela will be the first to be operational

01:52until Clark, which is part of it, in the first half of 2028.

01:5695% of the time, Balagtas Station in Bulacan

02:00is the earliest to be completed out of the 30 stations of the NSCR.

02:04The station is spacious and there are elevators.

02:08It is also environment-friendly because it is bright

02:11and does not require a lot of light every day.

02:15In Clark, 80% of the time, the station is finished

02:18right next to Clark International Airport.

02:21But if the entire NSCR project will be completed,

02:24only 40% of the time will be completed.

02:27The portion of the NSCR in Metro Manila from Valenzuela

02:30to Sukat sa Paranaque will face challenges in the right-of-way.

02:35We will be in Buendia, Edsa,

02:38and then we will have to relocate 13,000 informal settlers

02:44from Manila to Calamba.

02:46The entire project will be completed by 2031.

02:50By the time the project is operational,

02:52it will provide more than 10,000 jobs

02:55under the Philippine Railway Institute.
