Hyakkimaru, the protagonist, encounters a demon-possessed baby who is terrorizing a village. The baby's mother, a woman named Mio, is being manipulated by the demon, and Hyakkimaru must find a way to exorcise the demon and save the child. Along the way, he learns more about his own past and the curse that was placed upon him.
