00:04I would like to ask about the land and sea agreement between Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei.
00:11Your Excellency, as far as I know,
00:15we have signed an agreement or a MOU on the land borders between Malaysia and neighboring countries.
00:25There are 33 agreements or MOUs,
00:28and 9 maritime treaties with neighboring countries.
00:36As for the borders between Malaysia and Indonesia,
00:39the distance that has been established is 1,943.2 km,
00:47which is 94.2 of 2,064 km through a total of 22 MOU agreements.
00:58Meanwhile, for the latest maritime borders,
01:01the two countries have signed the Treaty of Melaka and the Treaty of Sulawesi
01:08on 8 June 2023 in Putrajaya.
01:11These treaties will be enforced and implemented fully after both parties complete their internal processes.
01:23For the land borders involving Malaysia and Brunei,
01:28which cover a distance of 528.45 km,
01:35the two countries are in the process of negotiating to complete an agreement or a MOU.
01:42For now, the marking and measuring work on the land has been successfully carried out by the two countries
01:50covering a distance of 175.96 km or 33.3% of the total distance.
02:02Both parties are trying to resolve the issue of the agreement
02:06in accordance with the agreed time line, which is by 2034.
02:13Malaysia will continue to negotiate with Indonesia and Brunei and Russia
02:19through the two-way mechanisms available to end land and maritime borders.
