00:00Hi, in this lesson we will install java on windows operating system.
00:09So before installing java, open a command prompt and type the following commands.

00:25If you see the following information, that means java is not installed on the machine.
00:32Step is to download java.
00:35Open a web browser, firefox browser and navigate to oracle.com and search for java download.
00:52Pick the latest version and choose windows operating system.
00:57Click on windows.
01:01Download the 64-bit installer.
01:05Click on the download link to download the installer.
01:12Step is to install java.
01:14Locate the installer on the hard disk and double click on the exe file.
01:26To launch the setup screen, click on next button.
01:33This is the location where the java will be installed on the computer.
01:37Click on the next location.
01:39If you want you can change the install location.
01:43However it is recommended to install the application in the default path.
01:50Click on the next button.
01:52This will copy all the registered necessary files on to your computer.
02:09Then click on the close button.
02:16Relaunch the command prompt and verify the installation.
02:24Enter the command java.
02:29You should be able to see the command line options and command line flags.
02:38That's it.
02:39It is successfully installed on your computer.
02:43If you want you can delete the JDK installer.
