00:00So over here you can see that I have an object right here and in this object there is a particular
00:11light that is there. If I were to go around onto preview then you can see that this is
00:16the light that you have. There's a certain shadow and we know that the light is coming
00:21somewhere from this direction right here. But what you can also do is you can work around
00:26with light in detail. So if I were to go around over here you can see that an environment
00:30light is here by default. If I were to go around and delete it out right here. So let's
00:35just go around and delete the environment light. You can see that everything becomes
00:39black. So if I were to go around onto preview right here you can see that everything just
00:44lights up right here on its default settings right here. But what you want to do is add
00:52in something called directional light in the beginning. Let's say for example you want
00:57artificial kind of a studio light setup then you use directional light. So for that you
01:02need to go around onto the light section right here just like this. And over here you can
01:08see that first of all there is a circle light right here just like this. So if I were to
01:13go around over here onto circle light right here just like this then that is one type
01:18of a light. So you don't really see the light in this particular object. So let me just
01:23go around and delete this out right here. And delete out this light as well. So now
01:28what I'm going to do is I'm going to go around over here and then bring in a sphere. Let's
01:33say for example so I have this sphere right here. So let's just go around and resize it.
01:38And I'm going to go around and add in a metal outlook to it. Right now there's no light
01:42and you see no illumination whatsoever. But if I were to go around over here and bring
01:47in a circle light right here just like this then you can see a circular light right here
01:52just like this. So this is a directional circular light. You can change around the intensity
01:57of the light right here just like this. And you can also go around and change around the
02:02color of the light as well just like this. So let me just go around over here onto the
02:07light right here. The intensity rotation. You can go around and change it out as you
02:11can see right here just like this. You can also change around the height of the light
02:15as you can see right here. You can make it up or down right here. If I were to go around
02:20and render then this is what you see right here. So you can see that there's the reflection
02:25of the floor and there's the circular light right here. You can also work around with
02:29the size of the light right here and then change around the softness of the edge. And
02:34this is the reflection of the light that you get right here just like this. So apart from
02:39that you also get the square light right here just like this and this is the square light
02:44right here. So I can go around and change around the intensity right here and change
02:48around the rotation of the light. The height of the light right here just like this. So
02:53if I were to go around over here then I can change around the color just like this as
02:57well. And then you can also go around and change around let's say for example the reflection
03:03opacity and so forth right here. So let's just go around onto the square light right
03:08here. Change around the size of the light right here and work around with the edge solutions
03:12as well just like this. So you can either choose it to be square or circle from over
03:17here as well and even change out the aspect ratio of the light right here just like this.
03:22You can also change around the corner radius around over here. You can also go around onto
03:26directional light right here and then change around let's say for example the aspect ratio
03:31right here of the circular light right here and you get this particular result right here.
03:36Apart from that you can also have sun as a light right here and sun is like a natural
03:42source of light. You can change around the intensity right here. You can change around
03:46the rotation and accordingly you get three shadows as you can see and you can change
03:50the height of the sun right here and the cloudiness right here just like this as well.
03:55So you got the sunlight and two artificial light right here and if I were to go around
04:00over here and then let's say for example render then you get the result as if there are three
04:06lights right there. So that is what you have. Let me just go around and delete out all of
04:11these lights right here just like this and now let me just bring in three point light
04:16right here. So once you bring in three point light then you exactly have three lights right
04:20here just like in a studio setup there is a key light, a fill light and a backlight right here
04:26and you can see the reflection of those lights right here. So now what you can do is you can
04:31go around and see that there is less intensity on the fill and backlight but the key light as
04:37the main light. So you can go around and change around the intensity right here just like this
04:43and then what happens is that you get the shadow for it accordingly right here. You can also go
04:47around and change around the color of the light right here. So it is simply these square lights
04:53right here but arranged out like this and now you get this result and if I were to go around and
04:59render this out right here just like this then you get the reflection with the three
05:03point lighting right there and that is how you can work around with directional lights
05:08inside of Adobe Dimension. So I hope you guys learned something as always and be sure to hit
