00:45Now, what is it like sports entrepreneur? I don't know how you put that but I'm happy to whatever you figure out

01:04You know, what's great is you get six games for the price of one so you get to see the whole league

01:11And we got some great matchups, you know, this is week five

01:17You know, we have an eight-week season. So

01:20Everybody's like jockeying for the playoffs and so doors open at 11

01:26first game started new

02:06No NFL yet. What do you do as a sports fan? If those are your favorite?

02:24Like myself who who have a have a basketball hangover

02:28When the finals is over, you know

02:30I could I could serve that and I knew that there was millions of fans who wanted more basketball and

02:38Here we got guys playing a sport. They recognize which is three on three

02:43Pant playing it at the professional level. So right, it's great

02:46And I love that. I don't know if you said this but that the players are in it for the love

02:52They're not in it for the money. They really love the sport. They love the game. They want to win, you know

02:58that's why the WNBA has blown up because

03:02When you watch the girls play or the women, you know, they want to win, you know, it's not like

03:09Not playing for a brands or playing in the low management all this kind of crazy stuff

03:15But actually want to win and there's a passion for the sport passion for the sport, you know

03:20We see it the same way at UFC or boxing, you know, it's the passion to win football same thing

03:27So our guys, you know, they they have the passion to win. They're still competitive

03:34And it's great fans love it cube you've got so much going on new Friday in the works

03:39Yeah new album in the works. Yep. Can you tell okay, let's start with Friday. We got Friday for coming

03:45What can we expect as fan? We're so excited. Yeah, I'm excited too. You know right now

03:50we were like, you know about to finish the deal once we finish that then then we can kind of go full speed ahead and

04:16Are you are you ever surprised at because of social media being so gigantic now all the memes that have come from Friday

04:29When we did the movie we wanted to do, you know a neighborhood classic

04:34and so

04:36we wasn't worried about Oscars or

04:40Box office we just wanted the movie to be a classic amongst people that dig it or understood the life and

04:47we just we was like, you know, only the cool people are gonna get this movie and and

04:54We didn't realize it was so many cool people in the world because everybody loved it

04:59Everybody quote from it. It's one of those

05:02Just a feel-good movie at the end of the day. I mean Felicia has her own songs now, you know

05:09It's crazy, I mean that's

05:12That was just a line. I would have never thought that that would get so much traction man

05:17You have so many incredible quotes from movies whether it's Friday whether it's boys in the hood

05:23I mean one of my favorites is like if you ain't from the hood like yeah, I mean those are just some

05:30Forever cemented in Hollywood classics. Yeah, you know, I think it's because it was really the first time

05:37You were able to see

05:40Kind of how we grew up on screen. Yeah

05:44You know like we've watched movies from other parts of the world

05:50But sometimes you got to see that quintessential LA

05:54Movie that you know, that's us that yeah that you like yo, this is how we grew up

05:59This is you know, even with a Friday after next, you know having the the Christmas in LA

06:05No snow

06:07It's like, you know, you don't really see that in movies

06:10So, you know, I want to be able to show LA and how we are cube. You're working on a new album

06:16Yes, I know. We got a target date of like around September. Yeah, maybe we can get it out sooner, but we'll see

06:23okay, so I gotta ask you this because I heard you say in the press that

06:27You're not big on the hip-hop beef anymore. You've never had hip-hop beef, right?

06:32Mean, I like I like, you know to be honest. I like beefs

06:37I mean, I like the back-and-forth on on wax sport the sport. Yeah, just stay on wax

06:43Yeah, you know the minute it goes to the streets or yeah, it's physical then that's just

06:50That's just simple crime. It has nothing to do with music. So so if we keep it to the sport

06:54We have it to support. What do you think about the Drake and Kendrick?

07:01Yeah, exactly when people were saying rap was born

07:05It wasn't really nothing that was you know, moving the needle here comes this that you know

07:12you got two heavyweights going at it and

07:15You know, like I said, as long as it stay on wax is fun. Do you like not like us? I do

07:57Did you at all just look back or just look at what Kendrick had created in the sense of what he did with that beef?

08:08Which I thought was I mean I was at that concert on Juneteenth and I thought man

08:13There are people on this stage that are united that would never

08:18Have been united before. Yeah, it reminded me of

09:14By other music I want to be influenced by what's going on inside of me. Yeah

09:20And so I shut it down when I'm working on music and then pick it back up when I'm done
