So, I'm here outside court after the sentencing of David Brown. David Brown sent malicious
00:09
messages to the family of Dylan Price, who was sadly a victim of a hit-and-run in Bishop's
00:17
Castle. Brown has been sentenced to 15 months in prison. I'm here with Izzy, Livvy, Dylan's
00:26
sister and Steve, Bristowe's stepdad. So, guys, what's your immediate reaction to that
00:33
sentence? I think he's got the sentencing that we were all hoping for, really. We didn't
00:39
think it was going to come to this, but I think the judge has been able to see the severity
00:43
of it all and what we all had to go through. So, I think it is good that he's got the sentence
00:49
that we all wanted and everyone can see the seriousness of it all. And Steve described
00:56
to me kind of how has it affected you all going through this process, because we've
01:01
been here before. Brown initially admitted this, but then tried to vacate his guilty
01:07
pleas and has essentially dragged this on for a couple of years, well, nearly two years
01:14
now, until finally facing justice today. Yeah, well, it could have been at the beginning
01:22
if he'd have owned up. It could have been dealt with two years ago. Obviously, the pain
01:30
is just, not just for me and Dylan's mum, for his sisters, the whole family. It's dragged
01:37
on now for two years. Today, it feels like a little bit of stress has been lifted. It's
01:45
a relief, isn't it? We don't have to keep coming to court getting any more answers.
01:49
We've got the endings of it all now. It's a sentence that didn't need to be done if
01:58
he'd have owned up at the beginning, because potentially it's ruined his family as well,
02:04
what he's done. I don't think he's seen the effects it's had, not just on Oslo, but on
02:11
his own family. I mean, he's got three kids himself. We can shut that chapter on him now
02:18
and try and move on with what we need to do as a family now. Carry on grieving now without
02:25
him hanging out with us.
