00:39and Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia, led the opening ceremony of the 64th edition of Palarong Pambansa at the Cebu City Sports Center.
00:47About 50,000 student-athletes from the country's 17 regions will compete in this year's Palarong,
00:53which features 24 sports, including four para-sports, namely para-athletics, para-swimming, bocce, and goalball.
01:01In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of the Palarong Pambansa in strengthening sports development in the country.

01:34It is also a platform where we discover, where we develop, and hone future professional athletes, Olympians, and servant leaders.
01:45Tomorrow, the student-athletes will be given a one-day break before the competition officially kicks off on Thursday and then continue until Monday.
01:53The closing ceremony of the Palarong Pambansa 2024 will be held on July 16 again at the Cebu City Sports Center.
