00:00We're being ambitious about house building.
00:01We set a target in the manifesto over the course
00:03of this parliament of one and a half million.
00:07If we could build more, we'd be delighted to do so.
00:09We've got to work with private sector developers.
00:11But where we can pull levers to deliver those houses,
00:14in terms of planning reform, in terms of planning officers
00:16and local authorities speeding up the process,
00:19we're going to do so.
00:20We're protecting Greenbelt land where
00:22it's legitimate Greenbelt land.
00:24But we have identified lots of sites across the country
00:26where it's been mislabeled as Greenbelt.
00:29It's effectively what we call Greybelt
00:31and should be used effectively for the needs
00:33of local communities as opposed to being left undeveloped.
