00:00This shocking footage shows up to 200 motorcycle riders roaring through Waterloo as they transform
00:11the South Bank into their personal petrolhead playground. Unlucky for them, residents and
00:16councillors have clubbed together to put a stop to their late-night racetrack around the streets
00:20of the London Eye. The riders are believed to be using the landmark as a flashy backdrop for
00:25social media videos on three to four nights a week for almost three months. The Labour councillor
00:30behind the petition, Ibrahim Dogas, told The Standard, they come from 10pm onwards, they drive,
00:36they race and backfire their engines. He added the area's home to lots of elderly people and families
00:42with young children, the motorbike antics causing a great deal of noise pollution and disruption to
00:48the local community. More than 2,000 residents are thought to be suffering from the racket.
00:53Mr Dogas' petition is calling for acoustic cameras, stronger enforcement and real action to restore
00:59peace and safety to the community. Labour MP for Vauxhall, Florence Eshelomi, is also supporting the
01:05petition, labelling the excessive noise as a serious disruption to her constituents. A crunch public
01:11meeting has now been scheduled to put an end to the midnight motorbike menace once and for all.
