00:03In today's video, we are going to learn how to make Chicken Biryani.
00:06Let's see the ingredients required for making Chicken Biryani.
00:10Follow all the steps to make Chicken Biryani.
00:13Chicken will be juicy and rice will be soft.
00:17Here I have taken 700 gm Basmati Rice.
00:20You can select the quality of rice according to your taste.
00:23For 700 gm Basmati Rice, I have taken 700 gm Chicken.
00:27I have taken big pieces of Chicken.
00:30Cut them into pieces.
00:32Now we will add whole spices to it.
00:35Add 1 tsp Shah Jeera, 3-4 Cloves, 2 Cardamoms, 2 Cinnamon Sticks and 1 Bay Leaf.
00:42Now we will add dry spices.
00:44Add 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder,
00:501 tsp Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp Salt and 1 tsp Garam Masala.
00:55In a mixer jar, add some chopped Coriander Leaves and 4-5 chopped Green Chillies.
01:00Grind them roughly.
01:04Add Coriander Leaves and Green Chillies Paste.
01:07Add chopped Mint Leaves.
01:09Add 1 cup Curd.
01:11Now mix all the spices well with the help of your hands.
01:19Make sure all the spices are mixed well in the gaps of the Chicken.

01:27Now we will keep it for 1 hour for marination.
01:30Chicken has to be marinated for 1 hour and Rice has to be soaked in water for 1 hour.
01:35These 2 steps are very important.

01:40After 1 hour, take water in a big open vessel.
01:45From the same cup from which you measured the rice, add 4 cups of water to 1 cup of rice.
01:51I have taken 2 cups of rice, so I have taken 8 cups of water.
01:55Now we will add whole spices to this water.
01:58Add 1 tsp Shah Jeera, 1 cinnamon stick, 3-4 Cloves and 3 Cardamoms.
02:03You can add more or less spices according to your taste.
02:09If you like strong flavor, you can add more whole spices.
02:13If you like light flavor, you can add less whole spices.
02:16It depends on your taste.
02:19I have added salt to the water.
02:21Here I am adding 4 tsp of salt.
02:23For 700 gms of rice and the amount of water we have taken, 4 tsp of salt is enough.
02:30After adding salt, we will boil the water in this bowl.

02:38We have to strain the rice and remove all the water from it and add it to the water.
02:46Mix it well with the help of a spoon.
02:50Use a spoon like this, otherwise the rice will break.
02:57I am adding half a lemon juice to it.

03:06Until the rice is cooked, we will crush the brown onions and add it to the chicken.

03:27The oil in which we were frying the onion, we will add that oil to the chicken.
03:32We will save some oil and use it to sprinkle on the rice.
03:36Mix it well with the help of a spoon.
03:40The oil has spread all over the chicken.
03:43Once the rice is cooked, we will check it.
03:46We don't have to cook the rice completely.
03:48We have to cook it 70%.
03:50The rice is 70% cooked.
03:52Now I am adding 1 cup of peaches to the chicken.
03:56By adding peaches or hot water, the chicken remains juicy.
04:01There are many varieties of chicken biryani.
04:04We will cook the rice 70% in this variety.
04:08We are adding 1 cup of peaches or hot water to the chicken.
04:12If we cook the rice completely, the rice will get cooked.

05:18Check the remaining half quantity of rice.
05:23The remaining half quantity of rice is 90%.
05:27Strain the remaining half quantity of rice and spread it in the second layer.
05:33The remaining half quantity of rice will be cooked with the chicken.
05:43Strain the remaining half quantity of rice and spread it on the chicken.
05:49Add the remaining oil on top of the rice.
05:54Add the remaining half quantity of rice and brown onions on top of the rice.
05:58You can add food color if you want.
06:02Cover the rice with a lid and turn on the stove.
06:09I am filling a bowl with water.
06:12You can also use a lid to cover the rice.
06:24Place the chicken biryani on the dum for 10 minutes on high flame and 15 minutes on low flame.
06:30After 10 minutes, reduce the flame to low and place the biryani on the dum for 15 minutes.
