00:06the 29-year-old still managed to cast his vote in the Sungai Bakak by-election amid

00:12a hectic wedding schedule.

00:14Dressed in traditional songket attire, Mohamed Shafiq, who had just finished the bersanding

00:19ceremony, arrived at SK Jawi around 12.30pm, just half an hour before the Kenduri feast

00:25nearby.

00:26He made his way in to register and cast his vote all within 10 minutes before making a

00:31dash for his Kenduri event.

00:33Accompanied by his 24-year-old wife, Munira Yahya, Mohamed Shafiq said they hadn't anticipated

00:39their wedding coinciding with polling day.

00:56As a third-time voter, Mohamed Shafiq mentioned that he chose to forgo traditional wedding

01:10henna to avoid complications with the indelible ink.

01:14The 29-year-old said this date will always be special to him as it marks both his wedding

01:19day and the day he fulfilled his civic duty.
