00:46Earlier, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista explained what his agency is doing for the BBM program.
00:53The Secretary said that DOTR is doing so many infrastructure projects, most of which are inherited from the past administration.
01:02This includes the continuous construction of the North-South Commuter Railway, or NSCR.
01:08It is a 147-kilometer railway that runs from Clark to Calamba, Laguna.
01:13It is expected that this project will provide better transportation services

01:49In addition to this, the construction of the first subway in the Philippines, the Metro Manila Subway Project, is also going on.
02:01This is a 33-kilometer underground railway system that will start in Valenzuela.

02:12The physical progress of the project is currently at 14 percent and is expected to be fully operational in the year 2029.
02:20The fund for the project is estimated at Php 488.5 billion, funded by official development assistance from JICA and the government.
02:42The construction of the tunnel boring machine will take almost 24 hours.

02:51In the following years, there will be up to almost 19 tunnel boring machines working 24 hours to complete the construction.
