01:00Goodhand William Christopher Michael, commonly known as Goodhand Will, the Conservative Party candidate, 7,318.

01:12Harleen Samantha, commonly known as Harleen Sam, UK, 133.

01:22Joshi Peter, Green Party, 2,036.

01:28Nock Raymond William, commonly known as Nock Ray, Reform UK, 7,101.

01:37Yaseen Ahmed, Independent, 1,707.

01:44The number of ballot papers rejected was as follows.

01:481. An official mark, 0. Voting for more candidates than voter was entitled to, 70.

01:56Writing or mark by which voter could be identified, 1.

02:01Being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty, 65.

02:05Rejected in part, 0.

02:08The total number of ballot papers rejected was 136.

02:13There was one vacant seat and the electorate total was 74,025.

02:19And the number of ballot papers verified was 36,618.

02:25And the turnout was 49.47%.

02:29And I do hereby declare that Sarah Rose, now to approve, is duly elected.

02:54It is a greatest honour of my life to be elected to serve the people of West Cromwich.

03:00I know what a privilege and what a responsibility it is to be our voice in Parliament.

03:07I promise you now that I will wave our voice further.

03:11That I will fight each and every day to get the best for you and for your family.

03:19I've been a big bowler to represent our part of that country.

03:23A place of such history, such diversity and such spirit.

03:28And tonight, the people of West Cromwich, Oldbury, Timberdale, Bowery and Great Barth have sent a message.

03:37It's time for change.

03:42We believe that change is possible.

03:46We are fed up of the chaos and the decline and the failure of the last 14 years.

03:53And tonight, we are turning the page.

03:57We will be fighting every day for a better NHS.

04:01To help you with your bills.

04:03To help you all get on the housing ladder.

04:05To give every child the best opportunities that they deserve.

04:11Keir Starmer is realistic about the scale of the challenge facing our country.

04:15There is no magic wand.

04:17But the Labour Party will be absolutely focused on delivering every day for you.

04:23And I want to thank now, every one here who has made the democratic process possible.

04:28To the police, to our returning officer Shaukat Lal, to Zoe and Tracy and the entire elections team.

04:34And all those who worked on the polling stations and here tonight.

04:38And thank you to my fellow candidates for a respectful contest.

04:42I think that politics is about the hope and the optimism of people.

04:47And we have the most incredible team of people that have believed in and fought for a better stand-up.

04:56I stand here tonight on bare shoulders.

04:59There are two of me today, but I'm just going to name a few.

05:03To Paul, my agent, thank you for all your help and for your advice in keeping us legal.

05:09My friends and my constant support on Digital Guru, Laura Rollins.

05:14The amazing and fireless Sahil and Will. Will never get rid of that personalised energy in me.

05:22And all of the counsellors who have shown such dedication and worked so hard for our community for so long.

05:31I also want to thank my friends and family who have done so much.

05:34My mum and dad, from whom I inherited my Labour values, who always argued that I rejoined the Labour Party first.

05:40My brother and sister who are here today.

05:43And also most of all to Sanjan, I know how hard it has been at times.

05:47And your love, your care and support for your reality checks have been very helpful.

05:52And obviously it has meant the whole world.

05:54I want to finish by saying this.

05:57Tonight, West Bromwich has sent a Labour emblem to Westminster as part of change that is sweeping our country.

06:04The world starts tomorrow. We won't let you down.
