00:00People were saying up until about three four months ago they were saying we're

00:04not going to get any seats so to get 13 seats I think is a politically seismic

00:08event it puts reform UK firmly on the map it means that we are part of the

00:14political landscape for the long term and these are very important steps that

00:21we've taken and the agenda which we promote is one which is quite different

00:27to both the Conservative and Labour parties and so you know there will be a

00:32genuine different voice in Parliament and all of that is great and we can

00:37build from here yeah yeah I mean I did whatever I could possibly do it's

00:46difficult for an insurgent party it always is because as an insurgency you

00:51don't know where your voters are in the same way that an established party like

00:55Labour and Conservative who've been in the constituency election after election

00:59you know they know where the vote is but we know we fought a good honest campaign

01:06my campaign manager did her level best to get me out there and get me promoted

01:11and get the message across and what will be where you know it's now down to

01:16Providence isn't it yeah yeah

01:19And what do you think your chances are of beating the Conservatives?

01:22I've got no idea I've got no idea it looks like I've lost apparently that's

01:31what I've been heard that I've not haven't won the constituency that's what

01:35I understand from early indications and then I whether according to the

01:41Telegraph right because I put the little postcode in they do a postcode predictor

01:47I'm gonna come third but but you know who knows

01:53Did you expect to have a chance to win the constituency?

01:55Well I mean you I'm only I only ever do anything in life if I think I'm gonna win it or at least I try to win it

02:01I think it's a natural human instinct

02:05It feels like a tide is changing as well it feels like Wellingborough is in a place of change as well

02:09It'll be interesting to see what the future holds. Is there any plans to run for the future in Wellingborough in the next five years?

02:15I've made friends and colleagues here and I know the landscape and I understand the local problems

02:21though as I mentioned when we spoke the local problems in Wellingborough and Rushton are no

02:26different to the local problems really nationwide you know there's a commonality between all

02:31constituencies born out of national issues but nevertheless it's nice to know precisely you know what's what
