Belfast’s Colette McCartney, founder of Holistic Kidz, reveals how starting the UK’s first ever outdoor early years wellness company was simply a case of sprinkling special magic on the children and young people of Northern Ireland

00:00Hi everyone, my name is Susanna and I'm super excited to tell you all about

00:05Holistic Kids. My mummy, Colette McCartney, started Holistic Kids in 2019. Since then

00:12more than 20,000 kids have come to our holiday camps, birthday parties, school

00:18trips and fundraisers for schools and charities. With so much technology

00:24everywhere, it is so important, now more than ever, that kids like me take bricks

00:29from screens and play outside as much as we can, just like our grown-ups did when

00:34they were young. Holistic Kids is all about getting outdoors and the fresh

00:39air and having lots of good old-fashioned muddy fun with our

00:44friends. When I go to Holistic Kids, I get to step out of my comfort zone and try

00:49new exciting things that help me grow. I also leave at the end of every day

00:54feeling happy, healthy and like a shining superstar. Our camp leaders are the best

01:01because they do so many fun activities with us like forest trekking, bushcraft,

01:07nature assault courses, building dens, mud pie making, scavenger hunts, mud slides,

01:14tree swings, art and lots more stuff like play football with Niall McGinn. He's

01:21kind and nice and funny and the football is super fun. I've learned how to score

01:28lots of goals just like Niall does. There's something for everyone at

01:33Holistic Kids, so come join us and let's make more outdoor childhood memories

01:38together. Remember, the mud will wash off but the memories will last a lifetime.
