00:19The tour has been going great.
00:20I think the combination of Cypress
00:24and Farthest Sides Social Initiative is pretty special.
00:28I mean, we all go back a ways
00:32between, you know, ourselves as, you know, peers
00:36and as well as with the fans, you know?
00:40I mean, you're seeing three classic groups
00:43that have a great catalog,
00:46and, you know, you're gonna get classics,
00:49songs that you know and love.
00:51You're gonna also, you know, have some surprise,
00:55you know, as we call them, flips,
00:57like, you know, different combinations of things.
01:02And also just, you know, I mean,
01:05you're gonna see a raw show,
01:08raw hip hop show is gonna be great.

01:13The London Symphony Orchestra is tuned and ready.
01:17Did we actually order the London Symphony Orchestra?
01:21You know, it's such an honor
01:24to be able to do something like this.
01:27We were doing a bunch of symphony shows last year,
01:33and I think that to do it with the London Symphony,
01:36which is one of the top, if not top,
01:43music ensembles ever.
01:45I mean, a lot of the classical symphonies,
01:51they look up to the London Symphony Orchestra
01:53as far as, you know, power, sound, everything.
01:57For us to do stuff like that
01:59and have our songs re-imagined, so to speak,
02:05it's crazy, it's a blessing.
02:12At first, I was doing stuff with the Beastie Boys.
02:14I was on tour with them on that very same tour,
02:17which was the 1992 Check Your Head tour.
02:21They came on board the final two weeks
02:24of that tour, meeting Cyprus.
02:26And we just kind of hit it off from there.
02:31And it was incredible.
02:34Playing with the Beastie Boys
02:35was such a learning experience for me,
02:39being able to record and make music with them
02:42and write songs with them and perform with them.
02:47It was such a big highlight
02:50in my life and in my career,
02:53especially with me being a fan of theirs,
02:59you know, from their first record.
03:01And just to think that I was actually performing with them
03:06and making music and the people going,
03:08wow, playing in these festivals that are just ginormous.
03:15Yeah, it's incredible.
03:17Our professional drums, the iconic one, Eric Mitropofo.
03:22Ever since I was, you know, in preschool, kindergarten,
03:27they'd say, well, what do you want to be when you grow up?
03:29You know, of course you have the typical policeman
03:33or fireman or whatever, doctor.
03:36And I always said musician.
03:38Even when I couldn't fully say musician,
03:41I was taking out the pots and pans and beating on them.
03:45To my mother's, you know, on her side of it,
03:47she was like, man, he's taking out my pots.
03:50I need to cook.
03:51But my dad was like, no, let him do it.
03:52Like, you know, he's expressing himself.
03:54And it's not that my dad taught me this.
03:58I just kind of went and I gravitated to it.
04:01I was able to learn from him.
04:03He passed away when I was 15,
04:04but I had performed with him many, many times.
04:08And it was a great time for me.
04:11Music, it helps, it heals.
04:16It makes you think.
04:18It has a lot of different qualities
04:21that, you know, it's hard to decipher.
04:26But music has always been a source of healing.
04:30And it's incredible how far back that goes.
04:38So like, you know, ancient tribes, you know,
04:41using it also in meditation,
04:42and using it to signal, you know, war,
04:46all different types of emotions, you know.
04:49That's music.
04:51I enjoy playing Lick A Shot,
04:53Harkness, Killer Man, Rock Superstar.
04:56♪ So you wanna be a rock superstar? ♪
04:58♪ Slipped on, big time, pop on, the big time ♪
05:02We all roll together.
05:03It's great.
05:05Those are my bros, you know, my brothers.
05:07And we still enjoy performing and making music.
05:12And being around each other and making, you know,
05:16each other laugh and, you know, sharing good times.
05:19And, you know, enjoying the time that we have, you know,
05:25together as a band to, you know,
05:28do it as best as we can, you know.
05:31Whenever we say, all right, the time has come,
05:35you know, we could say that we left out on a high note.
05:38You know, I mean, we really value
05:40giving the fans, you know, 1000%.
05:45Like with our live show,
05:46we always try to do something different
05:48just to keep ourselves on our toes and, you know,
05:51try different things or, you know,
05:54cool things can kind of come out of a mistake.
05:59We just try to keep open with it.
06:01And I think, you know, in trusting each other like that,
06:05we're able to make, you know, some really good music.
06:08It's really a brother love thing.
06:11You know, a couple of us, you know,
06:13we're riding our bikes, brought our bikes out.
06:15We used to do that, you know, back in the day,
06:18but I think now as we're older
06:21and we go to some of these spots, you know,
06:23I'm not one to just stay in a hotel, you know.
06:26I like, you know, I want to venture out.
06:28I want to get a feel of what the city is and get a vibe.
06:33And I think, you know, doing stuff like that,
06:36bike riding and, you know, reading
06:38and just laying back in the Jacuzzi when you get one
06:42and just relax, those kinds of things, you know,
06:45just to take a little edge off because it is a lot.
06:50I get inspired by, you know,
06:53watching younger musicians that they're
06:55going after their dream.
06:57And for me, I think I still have to feel like
07:00that strong love and passion that needs to be there.
07:05So, you know, I just try to keep a positive mind state
07:10about, you know, things and not get caught up in a hype.
07:14We're excited about, you know,
07:16making some new music and getting that out there.
07:19I think right now we're in a good stride.
07:22So a lot of good, cool things are going to be coming out.
