01:30I adopted Luke through an organization called GWARP. They take in dogs in Azerbaijan, which
01:41is near Turkey if you don't know where it is, and unfortunately there they do not have
01:48like any animal rights laws, so these dogs that they take in are really horrifically
01:55mutilated most of them. They found Luke in August. He was probably like six months old
02:01and he got hit by a car. Here he is! Hi buddy! Someone did the right thing taking him into
02:09a vet. Unfortunately, it was not a good vet. He broke his two front legs and the vet, for
02:18whatever reason, decided to amputate one of the legs instead of just putting a cast on
02:24them, so then an infection spread to the other leg and the vet amputated the other
02:32leg for whatever reason, and when the person went to go get Luke again, they were really
02:41just shocked, so they brought Luke to GWARP, which is the shelter where I adopted Luke
02:48from, and they took care of him, so I'm gonna show some pictures now of what he looked like.
02:57It was really, really bad, obviously. Really depressed looking. He was really emaciated.
03:04Not eating, not drinking. He was really shut down. I remember when I first saw him, I just
03:10started bawling my eyes out and there was just something so precious about his eyes
03:15and how genuine they were, and I said to myself, if he ever became available for adoption,
03:21I would want to adopt him, so they took care of him. They fixed up his amputation, because
03:28he still had a bit of a nub on the one side, so they had to clean that up, and then unfortunately
03:34what happened was they found that he had a hole in his chest from the infections, so
03:41they then needed to perform another surgery to close the hole, so he was in this incubator,
03:50oxygen chamber thing for a while, and then he got better and healthier after that, so
03:59there's a couple more photos I'm gonna show, but then he became available for adoption,
04:06so he's now here. He's super happy. He's like the happiest dog ever, and it's just
04:12so inspiring seeing him, because he doesn't realize and he doesn't know that there's something
04:20wrong with him or different, and he doesn't feel sorry for himself. He does everything
04:26like a normal dog. I can show videos of him walking on his hind legs. It's absolutely
04:31adorable, but he is literally the happiest dog ever despite everything, and it just shows
04:38I think all of us, no matter what you've been through, you can still be happy and have an
04:43amazing life, and he's just, he's the most precious thing ever.
