00:00Conclusion
00:04First of all, the conclusion of a project that allowed us to work hard
00:08on the last rail network, on the connectivity of the port with the national and European rail network.
00:14But then it coincides with the recent conclusion of the path of the inclusion of Civitavecchia
00:19and the ports of Lazio within the TNT network.
00:22So we were promoted from comprehensive network to port core
00:26and so we took advantage of this closing event
00:29also to celebrate this new result that is in favor of this territory, this port
00:35but in fact in favor of the whole country
00:37and with the assumption of consequent responsibility
00:41to be passed from a comprehensive network port to a port core.
00:45The ambitions are endless because it is right that it is so
00:47otherwise one sets low results and then inevitably obtains low results.
00:52The main point is that being members of the network core
00:58will allow us to directly access the financing of CEF2, Connected Euro Facility
01:04that few speak of, but there are 36 billion for all of Europe
01:08in the next 36 billion until 2027.
01:11So it means having the possibility, we first, to be trailblazers
01:16to invent European projects, to participate in the calls
01:20but also to work on the topics that are important and fundamental at the moment
01:24which are those of technological innovation, energy transition,
01:28the construction of sustainable ports, but also, in short,
01:31designed to grow and expand and become, if we want,
01:35also business clusters, going from a merely logistical node role
01:40to becoming mega incubators of economic activities.
01:45We often forget that ports are also industrial areas
01:48and by using or reusing the port brownfields
01:51we are not going to consume very important land outside our areas
01:56and at the expense of the cities.
01:58So there is certainly the ambition, or at least the attempt,
02:01to become, in all respects, a port system that serves the capital,
02:06that serves the Lazio region, which we remember is the second region for PIL in Italy,
02:11which historically has not had or has not thought aggressively about its ports.
02:17In fact, much of the port traffic that serves the capital
02:21actually comes from Livorno and Naples.
02:23We would like to prevent this situation,
02:26even if not for our territorial position.
