00:00Camarines Sur prosecutors approved the filing of a criminal case against the Barangay Tanod
00:08who allegedly killed Golden Retriever Kilua in March.
00:12Kilua's killing went viral in March and gained widespread condemnation.
00:16The prosecutors said there's probable cause in the manner of which Kilua was allegedly
00:21killed by the Tanod.
00:22In March, CCTV footage captured the moment when Tanod Anthony Solares chased and hit
00:27Kilua with a piece of wood.
00:29Later, Kilua's owner, Vina Rachel Mary Arrazas, found her dog's lifeless body in a sack.
00:35Solares says Kilua bit him and attacked several others, but the prosecutor says that does
00:40not justify the dog's killing.
00:43Prosecutors say the respondent should have looked for the dog's owner and reported the
00:46incident to the Barangay.
00:48A person found guilty of animal abuse faces maximum jail time of up to two years.
