00:00My name is Marcus Williams and I'm from Tamar Valley Vineyard and we are based here in the

00:04Tamar Valley near Beerolston and we planted the vineyard in 2016 and we're doing quite well at

00:10the moment, had a few harvests, we're making some really lovely English wine including our sparkling

00:15wine here which recently won an award at the Independent English Wine Awards. I'm really proud

00:21of that because it's got no affiliation with anyone so it's completely independent and they're

00:25usually quite harsh with their judging as well so the fact that we came up with a bronze is amazing.

00:30So this is made with Madeleine Angervin which is a French grape which grows really well in England,

00:35it tolerates our soggy summers and we've turned into a sparkling wine and we're one of only a few

00:40vineyards in the world that actually makes a sparkling wine with Madeleine Angervin

00:43and it's really crisp but also it tends to appeal to people who don't like champagne

00:50because champagne's quite acidic and this is quite floral and elegant and we've called it

00:55AG and those of you who remember your chemistry days, AG is a chemical sign for

01:01silver because we're on the site of an ancient silver mine here as well

01:05so we're all linking into the past and like I said we're really really proud of what we've achieved.
