Anthropic, an AI safety startup, and competitor to OpenAI, announced Claude 3.5 Sonnet, its most powerful AI model yet. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is faster than Anthropic's previous model, Claude 3 Opus, and is the first in their new Claude 3.5 family of models. The new model is better at grasping nuance, humor, and complex instructions, and can write high-quality content with a natural tone. It can also write and execute code. Anthropic also introduced "Artifacts," which allow users to have the model generate documents, code, etc., and then edit them in real-time.
