00:00What's up, GQ? I'm Hayden Christensen, and today I'm going undercover on the internet.
00:09It's actually me.
00:11It's cool, right? Using the force.
00:16Let's check Twitter. Slash X.
00:19Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor on the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi?
00:23What did naughty Ewan tell Hayden after that scene?
00:27Hayden couldn't hold in a laugh.
00:29And then it says, Hayden is that guy in your class you make laugh to get him in trouble with the teacher.
00:34First off, the images on the left are from the Obi-Wan Kenobi show.
00:38The one on the right, though, I think that's from the prequels because everything's covered in blue.
00:44So that's how I can tell the difference.
00:46But we were laughing a lot that day.
00:48They would paint these dots on our face so that they could try to de-age us a little bit.
00:53So we were making fun of the way we looked. It was a little silly.
00:56But I don't recall exactly what we were laughing about in that moment.
01:09This is true. That was us. There were no stunt doubles, and they didn't speed it up at all.
01:15We were just that good.
01:17You know, being on a Star Wars set and swinging a lightsaber,
01:20I used to struggle a lot with not making the sound effects.
01:23Because as a kid, you're just sort of conditioned to do that yourself.
01:27And I remember George Lucas, on a couple of occasions, would have to come over to me and say,
01:31Hayden, I can see your mouth moving, and you don't need to make the sound effects.
01:35We do that in post.
01:41I don't know. There's too many good ones to choose from.
01:44But I don't think it's this one.
01:46Anakin Skywalker Force Ghost.
01:48Why is his Force Ghost so young?
01:51Dude died on fire as an old man.
01:54Yeah, you know, dark side powers. That's what that's about.
01:59Posted.
02:00Quorra.
02:02What is Quorra?
02:08Well, I don't really know what you do or don't know about me, but I like to build pawns.
02:13It's become a bit of a hobby for me.
02:15I have a lot of sort of big construction equipment at my farm in Canada.
02:20And it's just sort of like the most obvious thing to do with a big excavator is dig a big hole.
02:25And then what do you do with a big hole? You fill it with water.
02:27And there's something nice about just sort of trying to create a nice water environment.
02:31It attracts life and birds and animals.
02:34And when you get it just right, it's very satisfying.
02:37Are they making a Jumper sequel with Hayden Christensen?
02:41Well, I really liked making Jumper.
02:44It was a really fun movie to do.
02:45We traveled all over the world to these amazing locations.
02:49But since that film was made over 15 years ago now, I would say don't hold your breath.
03:00I don't know that I'm really the one to answer that.
03:03You know, I kind of think that film is a very personal thing.
03:06For myself, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith is probably one of the better ones.
03:10Who is more handsome, Hayden Christensen or Tom Cruise?
03:15We'll go Tom Cruise for the win.
03:18What if Hayden Christensen was cast as Batman and Bruce Wayne in The Batman?
03:24Batman is a great character, but I think that Robert Pattinson did a really great job.
03:29If you had to play that, do you think you could play Bruce Wayne or Batman better?
03:34It's the dichotomy of the character.
03:36I don't know. You got to have one and the other.
03:39Probably more Bruce Wayne would be the easier character for me to access personally.
03:44All right, let's go on to YouTube.
03:46Learning that Natalie once had Hayden's Padawan braid.
03:50Then I lost it, you know.
03:51Eventually lost it. Blows my mind.
03:54Like Padme actually had Anakin's Padawan braid.
03:57Yeah, I do kind of remember that she kept one of those.
04:00It was very sweet.
04:01Although I think the real question is, whose hair did she actually have?
04:05Because it wasn't mine.
04:06I used to think that, because they would glue this hair extension behind my ear every day.
04:12I always used to wonder, whose hair am I wearing today?
04:16I forgive you, Natalie.
04:18Should we move on to Reddit?
04:20Is it better to watch Star Wars in chronological order or the way it released?
04:27My first time watching.
04:28I don't know that there is a right or a wrong way to do it.
04:31Certainly starting with Episode I and just enjoying the story in a linear, chronological way makes perfect sense.
04:38But I think there is also something to maybe starting with Episode IV, doing the original trilogy,
04:43and then going back and doing the prequels,
04:45because there's a great reveal in the original trilogy that you kind of miss out on if you start with Episode I.
04:51But teach the realm.
04:55Who would win MCU, Thanos, or Darth Vader?
04:58No extra round, BS.
05:00Thanos with his glove and stones versus Vader and his lightsaber.
05:05Obviously Vader, right?
05:07Definitely Vader.
05:08Vader beats everybody.
05:10Always.
05:11Is Hayden Christensen going to come back for Sokka Season 2?
05:15I think that would be a lot of fun.
05:17I think the answer to that question will remain to be seen.
05:22Now let's move on to IMDb.
05:24He fractured his hand during the filming of a rather violent scene in Life is a House,
05:30in which his character hits a wall.
05:32This is true.
05:33It wasn't intended to be a rather violent scene.
05:35It was just something that I did in one take.
05:38I actually think it was a wooden post that I punched,
05:41which makes it even kind of more stupid because I wasn't really expecting my hand to go through some drywall.
05:46It was a movie I did with Kevin Kline, where I play his son.
05:49And Kevin came up to me afterwards and he said,
05:52Hayden, that was really great, but I think you're going to make a lot of movies in your lifetime,
05:56and you only get one body, so take care of it.
05:59Which I think is sage advice.
06:02He, his brother, and their friends kidnap one another on each of their birthdays,
06:09drive to a location unknown to the birthday boy, and then spend the day riding dirt bikes.
06:14This is true.
06:15We did this for a few years.
06:17One morning on my birthday, my brother woke me up really early, like before the sun was even up.
06:22That's kind of why it felt like I was being kidnapped.
06:24And told me to get in the car, and they drove me somewhere far away,
06:27and there were dirt bikes, and we went on this great trip together,
06:31and then we had a lot of fun, so we kept it going for a few years.
06:34And that sort of started my love of riding dirt bikes, which I still do on my farm.
06:38On to TikTok.
06:40TikTok, TikTok.
06:42If we're to have an Anakin show, it can only be his transition into Vader from Order 66
06:49up until Obi-Wan Rebels time.
06:52That'd be it.
06:53I like your timeline. It's a good timeline. There's good stuff there.
06:57Although I think technically that would be a Vader show, not an Anakin show.
07:02Why hasn't he aged? Still so handsome. Swoon.
07:06Well, Juju, that's very sweet.
07:09I don't think it's true, but very nice of you to say.
07:13Okay, on to Wikipedia.
07:25This is true. I did a clothing line.
07:27It was sort of inspired by my farm.
07:29Mostly I just designed clothes that I wanted to wear and keep in my closet.
07:33I have a tendency to sort of take nice clothes and then bring them back to my farm
07:37and then make a mess of them and I ruin my clothes really fast.
07:40So I just wanted to make clothes that would kind of wear well and hold up well with a little bit of abuse.
07:45The process of designing a clothing line was enjoyable because it's all about details
07:50and I can sort of let my OCD kind of run rampant.
08:08This is also true.
08:10When we were doing Revenge of the Sith,
08:12I found out that they were not planning on having me be in the Darth Vader suit.
08:16I was a little bummed about that, so I spoke to George Lucas and I asked him
08:20and he was kind enough to oblige.
08:22I think there's something nice about knowing that it's the actor in the costume as well,
08:26but it was really just for my benefit.
08:28It was a challenging suit to move around and I told George,
08:31I was like, look, I don't know that I can move as well as I thought I would be able to.
08:35He was like, it's okay, it's supposed to be your first time in the suit,
08:38so if it's a little rigid and awkward, he was like, that's a good thing actually.
08:42When the helmet goes on and you're just totally enclosed in this costume,
08:47it was a remarkable experience just because you could see people's reaction
08:52to seeing Vader for the first time.
08:54People who were sort of usually very assertive became a little more timid
08:59and they'd kind of not want to make eye contact with you.
09:02I had good fun with that.
09:03All right, that's it. We're signing off of the internet.
