00:07An influential Eastbourne man described as a pillar of strength in his community has sadly died.
00:12Andrew Holter, a funeral director at Hayland Sun in Battle, passed away at the age of 48 on Saturday.
00:18Andrew was revered for his voluntary work for organisations across Eastbourne, including St John's Ambulance, Street Pastors and Police Cadets.
00:25He also founded Sunday Soup Kitchen, which has been helping the homeless community since 2012.
00:30Following the tragic loss, a fundraiser has been started to help ease any financial burden on Andrew's family.
00:36Jonathan Robinson, who is overseeing the fundraiser, said,
00:39Andy was a devoted husband, a loving father and a pillar of strength in his community.
00:43Andy was always there for us, offering a helping hand, a listening ear and a caring heart.
00:48A candlelit vigil is also set to be held for Andrew at 8pm on Saturday, June 22nd at Bankers Corner in the town centre.

01:25And finally, a watchdog has told Surrey Police to investigate whether its decision to hit a loose cow with a car was appropriate and proportionate.
01:33The Independent Office for Police Conduct said that the police force should investigate its own actions following the incident, which sparked public outrage on Friday, June 14th.
01:42The investigation should determine whether the methods used and the circumstances were appropriate and proportionate, the IOPC said, after examining footage on social media and from officers' body cameras.
01:52Footage of the cow being struck by a police car was shared widely on social media, and we have examined this along with footage and audio provided by the force from the officers' body-worn videos.
02:03After careful consideration, we have decided that an investigation is required into whether these methods used to contain the cow were appropriate and proportionate in these circumstances,
02:11and whether the officers upheld police standards of professional behaviour throughout the incident, including their communication with members of the public who were present.
