Taylor Swift superfan missed a third of her concert after Ticketmaster mishap

A Taylor Swift super fan missed a third of the concert after a Ticketmaster system error left her queueing outside for an hour.  Jessica Lander, 33, was lucky enough to secure last minute tickets for the Eras Tour concert in Liverpool on June 14.  However when she arrived, her tickets weren't scanning.  Jessica, a social media manager from Chorley, Lancashire, said: "As soon as we got to the queue, we were being told that our tickets had already been scanned in.  "They were basically telling us the seats we had booked already had other people in them."  Jessica wasn't the only one having difficulties.   Swathes of people queuing outside were having the same problem with their tickets.  After waiting around for an hour, the venue was able to supply Jessica with paper tickets but not in the £185 ticket with central view seat she had paid for.  Jessica was instead allocated to sit in a £60 seat with a limited view of the stage.  She said: "It took us a whole hour before someone managed to switch us over to paper tickets due to the issues the digital ones had scanning.  "But the seats we were given were rubbish, which was really really upsetting."  Jessica has been a fan of Taylor Swift since her very first tour, which she attended in Manchester in 2009.  She has also seen her on her 2011 world tour and again on her current tour in Edinburgh the previous week.  Jessica said: "I was obviously gutted, but I had seen Taylor on this tour already so it was worse for people who hadn't seen her at all.  "Everyone was really upset, especially young kids with their parents who were really looking forward to it."  Jessica contacted Ticketmaster to complain and hopefully get a refund.  She said: "A full refund would be ideal, but I've not got high hopes.  "I have since spoken to someone on TikTok who coincidently was reallocated to the original seat that I had purchased.  "So I have proof that my original seat was empty the whole time.  "I don't know why someone couldn't have gone and checked if our seats were empty rather than just listening to the system that clearly wasn't working.  "I missed a third of the concert and was reassigned to worse seats because Ticketmaster's systems made a huge error.  "They need to be held accountable for that."

01:17the stage. And I had a lovely message from a girl that was in the same situation as us

01:22in the queue. I had a look at her Taylor Swift videos and I was like wow, they've got a really

01:27good view etc and I was thinking gosh that kind of looks like the view that we should

01:36have had. They were reassigned our seat numbers. The original purchased seats that we had in

01:43our wallet that we're not scanning, those seats were empty the whole time. So we could

01:50have been sat there, we could have been in the concert the whole time in our original seats.
