00:00Hi, I'm Tig Notaro, and you're watching Life Minute TV.
00:03♪♪
00:10I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll tell you what,
00:12it was really exciting to be a part of it
00:15and be surrounded by all of these tremendous comedians.
00:18I feel very thankful for certain people that went before me
00:22and made so many things possible for my life
00:25that I'm so thankful for.
00:26I think it'll be nice for people to hear
00:29any sort of struggles that people might not know about.
00:34Trust your instincts.
00:35Anything in life, like we are born with such innate wisdom
00:38that we don't often utilize
00:40because we're just so worried about what people think
00:42or what the right thing is.
00:43But really, I think we do know.
00:47I've never felt any pressure.
00:49I've always been, like, very into my groove.
00:52I mean, yeah, people like Lily Tomlin
00:54and a million other great entertainers
00:57have forged a path for me.
00:59To be able to use comedy as a weapon
01:03and to use it wisely as a weapon,
01:05to change people's minds,
01:07you know, that is the power of comedy.
01:11It's really about the triumph of queer comedians
01:14in the face of very challenging times.
01:18It's about the resilience of the human spirit,
01:20that no matter what was thrown their way,
01:23these comedians always managed to stand on stage
01:26and to speak their truth.
