00:08There are now a record 31 billionaires among the country's self-made women, up from 24

00:13a year ago.

00:15The minimum to qualify rose to $300 million, the highest since Forbes started tracking

00:20the top 100 in 2020.

00:23Here are the five richest self-made women in 2024.

00:28At number five, Elizabeth Ulein.

00:31Ulein and her husband, Richard, founded Ulein, which annually sells an estimated $8 billion

00:38of shipping, packaging, and industrial supplies.

00:41Dick and Liz are Republican mega-donors who boost conservative candidates across the country.

00:46They've given upward of $40 million in federal races this cycle alone.

00:52At number four, Tai Lee.

00:55The daughter of a prominent Korean economist, Lee, who had previous stints at Procter & Gamble

01:00and American Express, has been CEO of the $14 billion software reseller SHI International

01:07for 35 years.

01:09She has a 60% stake in the company, which acquired cybersecurity firm Moot in March.

01:16At number three, Judy Faulkner.

01:19Judy Faulkner founded electronic health records giant Epic Systems in her basement in 1979.

01:25In 2023, it hit a record $4.9 billion in revenue.

01:30Epic has more than 60 generative AI tools in development with the goal of reducing stress

01:36on the company's technicians.

01:38At number two, Judy Love and Family.

01:4160 years ago, Judy and her husband, Tom, opened their first filling station in Watauga, Oklahoma.

01:48The couple ran what's now called Love's Travel Stops together until 1975, when Judy returned

01:54to college.

01:55Today, the $24 billion company has 640 locations in 42 states and is run by sons Greg and Frank.

02:04Love's plans to add at least 20 locations this year.

02:08And at number one, Diane Hendricks.

02:11Hendricks owns ABC Supply, the nation's largest wholesale distributor of roofing supplies.

02:17She co-founded it with her husband, Kenneth, in 1982.

02:22Revenue has grown from $2.6 billion in 2007 to $20.4 billion in 2023.

02:30In April, ABC Supply announced it would acquire roofing products firm Herman's Supply Company,

02:35based in Ontario, Canada, for an undisclosed price.
