01:52Bago mbago.
01:53Slambook Questions.
02:00So he actually answered some questions for Universal Records' TikTok video and marami
02:06pa siyang, pwede kisagutin dun actually.
02:08So here are our questions for Wonshik.
02:12Can I call you Wonshik?
02:13Is that okay?
02:14Yes.
02:15I could call you Wonshik.
02:16For Wonshik.
02:17Our first question, define yourself in three words.
02:23I'm like, I'm kind, friendly, and lovely.
02:40Lovely.
02:41Yes.
02:42Perfect descriptions.
02:44Also, guys, if you see Kim Wonshik anywhere, just say hi because he's also friendly.
02:50Hi.
02:51Hello, Kim Manalo.
02:54Kim Manalo, meet Kim Wonshik.
02:59Hello.
03:00Okay.
03:01Our next question, what's your biggest strength?
03:09My biggest strength is I can really be friends with anyone regardless of age that they have.
03:26I'm friends with anyone.
03:29That's a good skill, you know.
03:33What's your MBTI since you're very friendly?
03:37Can you guess what's my MBTI?
03:41CUTE.
03:43Oh, that's correct.
03:46But actually, my MBTI is SEXY.
03:54Pwede din, pwede din.
03:56SEXY.
03:58Okay, okay.
04:01Okay, next question.
04:04What's the most adventurous thing you've done in life?
04:08Back in like 23 of my age, I tried bungee jumping.
04:17It was really, I mean, I was so scared jumping all the life.
04:24But like, you know, I really wanted to do it.
04:28I really want to challenge myself.
04:31So I jumped.
04:33How long did it take you before you were able to jump?
04:36Oh, I think I took like 10 minutes before I jumped.
04:4110 minutes.
04:42Yeah, I was like, you know, I told the instructor that I don't want to really jump.
04:50I can't.
04:51He said, you can do it, you can do it.
04:53Oh my god.
04:54It was a bit windy up there.
04:58So it was really scary, but I made it anyway.
05:04Yes, that's my dream to do bungee jumping or skydiving.
05:09But I think you better not to because it will scare you a lot.
05:18So okay, that's fine.
05:20My next question is, what's a superpower you wish you could have?
05:28Superpower that I want to get is like, I want to make people love me.
05:37Okay.
05:39I think you already have that superpower.
05:42Maybe, but it's not to all people.
05:46So I just want to have a superpower, you know, if anyone sees me and fall in love.
05:58That's not hard to do.
06:03But that's what I want to get.
06:10Our next question.
06:11How do you start your day?
06:13My day?
06:15First, I go to the living room and then I stretch myself.
06:21That's how I start my day.
06:26Yes, to keep the blood flowing.
06:28I do the foam roller.
06:32Ah, the foam roller.
06:33Yeah.
06:35I roll myself.
06:39Okay, next question.
06:40What's something you've always wanted to do, but you've been too scared to try?
06:52You've done bungee jumping so far.
06:55Yes.
06:58I think I'm not scared of anything.
07:01Oh, like skydiving.
07:04I really wanted to do it, but I couldn't, you know, go further.
07:11If you do have the courage to skydive, where would it be and why?
07:17Maybe, I don't know where.
07:20I don't know where.
07:25Yeah, in Korea.
07:27Where it's very safe.
07:28I mean, I don't want to, I mean, skydive where it's really unsafe place.
07:38Yes.
07:42Pardon me?
07:43I cannot hear you.
07:46I cannot hear your voice.
07:51Hello?
07:52Hello?
07:53Yes, yes.
07:56Okay, perfect.
07:57Next question.
08:01Name three things you don't leave the house without.
08:05Oh, first, of course, cell phone.
08:09Why?
08:10Because since I'm using, like, phone from Korea, I can pay with this cell phone,
08:17so I don't need to bring wallet.
08:20Okay.
08:22Two more.
08:23Two more.
08:25Maybe lip balm?
08:27Yes.
08:29And eye drops.
08:33Eye drops, okay.
08:35So if you guys see what's inside Kim Wonshik's bag, you'll see a phone, a lip balm, and eye drops.
08:43And one more thing I have.
08:45Power bank.
08:46Okay.
08:47Power bank.
08:48Yes.
08:49For the phone.
08:54Okay, next question.
08:56What's the best advice you received?
09:00Um, like, don't be in a hurry.
09:06There will be your time.
09:09Yes.
09:10Yes, I believe that.
09:14Yeah, we all have our time to shine.
09:17Yes.
09:20Next question.
09:21What's your ideal type?
09:24Ideal type of?
09:26A person or, like?
09:30In general, of person.
09:38Like, I like people who are really considerable.
09:46Yeah.
09:47Yeah, that's really important, you know.
09:50Who are very considerate and very respectful, of course.
09:53Yes.
09:55And the last question for this round.
10:00A hidden talent.
10:03Hmm, I think.
10:07Do I have a hidden talent?
10:12I think everything is open.
10:15You can act, you can sing, but can you cook?
10:21I can cook ramen very well.
10:25If you wanna try.
10:26That's a talent.
10:27Come here.
10:29I'm gonna cook for you.
10:31Ramen.
10:36Yes.
10:37We'd love to try one day.
10:40Yeah.
10:41And that is the end of the segment.
10:43Now, we proceed to our Q&A with Kim Won Sik, where we'll get to know more about him.
10:49So, for our viewers.
10:52Sian, can you tell us a bit about your background, how you started your career as an actor?
11:00Actually, I studied here in the Philippines.
11:07And, you know, I just went to the fanmeet of actress Park Shin Hye.
11:15And then there, I mean, that's the place where I was casted to start this acting.
11:23Oh, at a fanmeet.
11:24You were discovered at a fanmeet at school.
11:28Yes.
11:29No, not in school.
11:30Star City.
11:33Ah, in Star City.
11:34Yeah.
11:37Amazing.
11:38So, you mentioned that you also studied here in the Philippines.
11:41Yes.
11:42In college.
11:43Yes.
11:45So, how was your time then?
11:48Where did you study first?
11:50I started studying here in 2007.
11:55In Davao.
11:57Davao. Okay.
11:58And I stayed there for one year.
12:00And the rest of five years, in Manila.
12:05Oh, cool.
12:06He knows how to speak some Tagalog words and English.
12:10Just a little bit.
12:12But do you remember some Visaya words?
12:15Yes.
12:20Cool. That's cool.
12:22And the song title of mine is To Be With You, right?
12:27Yes.
12:28In Visaya, it's Draconimo.
12:30Yes.
12:32You also know the Visaya title of your song?
12:35That's cool.
12:36Yes.
12:40But in UST, what did you study in UST?
12:43I studied commerce.
12:45Commerce.
12:46Yes.
12:47Were you there around 2011?
12:50Yes.
12:52Oh, I was there too.
12:53Just kidding.
12:55Just kidding.
12:57You were there?
12:58Yes, in the same building. Faculty of Arts and Letters.
13:02AB, right?
13:03First floor and second floor, I think?
13:06Yes.
13:07First floor and second floor.
13:08And then yours were third floor and fourth floor.
13:10Because we're not allowed to use the elevator.
13:13Yes, yes.
13:15I trained myself so bad there.
13:19The stairs were so high.
13:21Yes.
13:22For the commerce students.
13:24So, were you there in 2011?
13:28Yes, that's when I graduated.
13:31Ah, that's when you graduated.
13:332011.
13:34Yes, yes, yes.
13:36I entered in 2011.
13:37So, it was exactly 400 years of UST.
13:42Yes.
13:44You were the quadricentennial batch.
13:46Oh, that person is a fanboy.
13:49Okay, moving forward.
13:51So, next question.
13:54Was it your dream to become an actor?
13:57Or was it your childhood dream to become an actor?
14:01Actually, it was not a dream of mine when I was a child.
14:15I really wanted to be a CEO of a car company because I really loved cars.
14:21And when I just reached second year of high school, I think third year, maybe, I watched a drama.
14:31And then I really wanted to be like actors in the TV.
14:36But I had no chance.
14:38But in 2013, the chance, I mean, the opportunity came to my life and I started.
14:46Yes, that's it.
14:48Faith has a different plan for you.
14:58Yes.
15:00From CEO to actor.
15:02But how are you enjoying your time now as an actor since you've been doing some projects here in the Philippines?
15:09I'm really glad and appreciate my job.
15:13And, you know, my happiest time is when I'm in the shooting area or shooting places.
15:24And in front of camera, that's my happiest time ever.
15:31Again, speaking of acting projects, you're currently part of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim starring Paolo Angelino and Kim Choo.
15:39Yes.
15:40And this is one of your biggest projects so far.
15:43So how does it feel to be part of this release?
15:46I'm really glad that I could be a part of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim adaptation in the Philippines.
15:53And I really love the people there, cast and the staff, because they really helped me a lot.
15:59And Kim Choo and Paolo Angelino, they're really good people.
16:05They really helped me a lot.
16:07And we're good friends now.
16:10So maybe someday, I want to have, like, you know, oh, there.
16:18There.
16:19I want to have other projects as well.
16:24Yes. You mentioned that you wanted to become a CEO before, and now you're playing a CEO in this series.
16:32Yes, that's really, you know, good opportunity.
16:38And his name is Daniel. Can you tell us about your character? Is he like a villain in the story?
16:48Not really a villain, but he's kind of a person who's really forcing people and intimidated, you know.
16:58But once I found out the ability of Paolo, I was really glad that, you know, I found the person, the right person to work with us.
17:14So, yeah.
17:17He made it easy for you to act.
17:20It was not really easy for me because our personality conflicts.
17:26Oh.
17:27Yeah, because I'm really a happy person and, like, I don't, you know, force people or I'm not a person who's intimidated.
17:39But Daniel Park, it's just the other way around.
17:45Yeah, I see.
17:47It's kind of difficult, might have for me.
17:51So, apart from What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, you also starred in Pag-ibig na Kaya with Julian San Jose and River Cruz for a miniseries under Universal Records.
18:07Yes.
18:09So, that was last year, right?
18:13Yes, that was, no, two years ago, I think.
18:17Two years ago, that was so long ago.
18:22Can you share some experience or memorable moments you've shared with the lead stars?
18:32It's been a long time, but what I remember is we ate a lot of choco mochos there.
18:41Yes.
18:43Do you guys love chocolates?
18:46They were our sponsor there, so, I mean, we ate a lot of choco mochos.
18:55That's cool. I love choco mocho, too.
18:57Oh, yeah.
18:59Okay, so, going back to What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, aside from playing the role of Daniel Park, you also sang one of the songs, one of the OSTs, which you already mentioned.
19:12Yes.
19:14So, what was it like for you, or what was your reaction when the production team told you that you're going to sing one of the songs?
19:22Oh, my God, I couldn't believe that I could sing for the drama, which I really like to watch and to be there.
19:35And, you know, when I just saw Kim Pao, Love Scenes, and my songs being played, it was so nice experience.
19:47I appreciate it.
19:49And you were also able to film the music video, which was recently released.
19:56Can you tell us about your experience in Rizal filming for the music video? This is your first time, right?
20:02Yes. You know, we were hunting the location that we want to shoot.
20:09And, of course, people proposed the pictures of the places, and I found that Rizal was the most beautiful place.
20:20I wanted to really shoot my music video there.
20:23And then, when I went there, the view was really nice, I mean, really beautiful to be there.
20:34The wind was so strong, like, you know, my hair was like uncontrollable.
20:41So, it was like really making up for us to shoot in Rizal, but the view was so nice.
20:50I can remember the sunset that I saw that time. That's the beautiful place you can go visit.
21:00The first time I saw it, I thought it was filmed somewhere in Jeju or something.
21:06Oh, yeah. Because when we were shooting, like, is it Jeju?
21:12And I didn't really want to be seen like Jeju or in Korea because it's in the Philippines.
21:19I mean, I intended to, I mean, my intention was like, you know, like, they're gonna think, oh, it's a foreign country.
21:31But everybody says, is it Jeju or something? And I said, no.
21:36It's Korea. And your hair here because of the wind.
21:41Yes. So, do you see?
21:45Yes.
21:46We couldn't fix it. Oh, my God.
21:49But you still look good. That's the best part.
21:53Thank you.
21:55So, shout out to Miss Kathleen Mariano. Hello, Kathleen. And Dan Angelo Elegado.
22:02And Sharla Mae Sardaga. Thank you for watching our interview.
22:07Thank you.
22:09So, since you've, well, this isn't, this is not your first time in the Philippines.
22:19You studied before here. But what was the most or what's a significant cultural difference that you have experienced when you first moved here?
22:29You know, the biggest difference, pardon me, like, the biggest difference is Koreans are really fast doing anything.
22:53But here in the Philippines, they're more relaxed and easygoing.
23:00Yeah. I personally experienced that too. When I visited Korea a few weeks ago, they're very fast.
23:10Yes. Even when they are walking, they're like on the escalator.
23:16You don't, you shouldn't stand on staircase, on stairs or the escalators because they're walking.
23:24So, do you see yourself continuing work here in the Philippines? Or do you have plans to work abroad as well?
23:33Of course, you also know how to speak Japanese.
23:36Yes. But I do not have any plans for Japan yet. But in Korea, yes. And in the Philippines as well.
23:47We'll see more of Kim Won Sik.
23:50See you.
23:52So, which Filipino celebrities would you like to work with?
23:56I've been mentioning her for like,
24:01A long time.
24:03Every interview. I just want to see her, like, Ann Curtis.
24:08She's, of course, famous now. But when I was here, she was so famous. And, you know, I really wanted to meet her, but I had no chance. So maybe someday, I might see her.
24:22Yes. Why not? It's showtime. Hello, it's showtime, people. Kim Won Sik can perform for you guys.
24:30Maybe.
24:35Well, apart from Ann, are you familiar with any Filipino celebrities or maybe you wish to do a song with from Universal Records?
24:54We can find Julie Ann. Why not?
24:57Yes. I already mentioned her, Julie Ann.
25:01Yes.
25:03But I need to get permission from Rayburn.
25:08That is true.
25:10Yes.
25:12My next question is quite hard, maybe. But for you, since you're an actor and a singer, if you could only pick one between the two, which would you choose and why?
25:24It's really difficult question for me because I cannot really weigh which is better. But for 51 to 49, it's acting because I started acting right first. And I really love to act in the series or drama. Yes.
25:44Yes.
25:46Yes. And we're excited for that. I forgot to ask about this question. Before, what's wrong with Secretary Kim? You were also part of a Netflix reality show, Love, like a K-drama.
26:01Oh, yes.
26:03So, how was your time there? A lot of your fans were rooting for you.
26:09Yes. I mean, I cannot really say anything about it.
26:17But are you still friends with the cast members?
26:20We're good friends. We meet regularly. So, we're good friends.
26:26What's the biggest lesson you learned from there since some of the comments were also kind of hard on you guys as actors?
26:38Yeah. Like, skills in auditions, I think. Yes. Because we auditioned for like five to six times. So, yeah.
27:04How are you handling rejections now?
27:07Rejections?
27:08Yes. Rejections. When you do auditions, when you don't get a part, how are you handling those situations now?
27:20I have nothing special in handling those things because it happens a lot.
27:28You just move on.
27:30I'll have my part in the future. I'll have my time to shine. So, yeah. It's okay.
27:38Yeah. You just do your best on your next audition.
27:41Yes.
27:44That would be our last question for the Q&A segment. And now, we're doing the Pep Challenge.
27:51Pep Challenge.
27:54So, for this Pep Challenge, we'll call it Situation Playlist.
27:59So, for our viewers, for this challenge, we'll be flashing some situations on screen. And then, Wonchick will come up with a song or a song title for it.
28:23Okay.
28:24And explain why he chose that song.
28:27Okay.
28:29First one.
28:31Theme song for the Manila traffic.
28:34Oh. Manila traffic.
28:39I'll look for one.
28:41Hold on.
28:54You guys know how difficult the traffic is here in the Philippines. So, we need patience for the Manila traffic.
29:04This one.
29:06What's the song? I'm so sorry. I couldn't read Korean.
29:11It's by Kwon Jin Ah.
29:17It's a Korean singer. She's a Korean singer.
29:20Okay.
29:24Ah, that one. Okay.
29:27Why did you choose for that?
29:29The title of the song is 끝 means end.
29:34The end. Yes.
29:36It means end of relationship. But for me, I want the end of traffic so bad.
29:49For the guys, this is the song.
29:53Yes.
29:55What is that?
29:57The end.
29:58Yes. The end.
30:01You can find it on Spotify.
30:03Ending. End of traffic.
30:07Okay. Next.
30:11You got stuck in the elevator with your crush.
30:16With my crush.
30:19Wait for me, please.
30:20Please.
30:31It's like Give You My Heart by IU.
30:38That's a good one.
30:40Yes.
30:41She just finished her concert here in the Philippines. Were you able to watch?
30:45Of course, in the first row.
30:50There. I love IU too.
30:52I experienced the traffic. Heavy traffic. So, I want the traffic ends.
30:58The end.
31:00Give You My Heart. One of my favorite songs.
31:06Before we move to the next situation, shout out to Mays Baloyo.
31:11She said you're so handsome.
31:14Thank you. Mays Baloyo.
31:18Another one. She mentioned, I hope I can guess because it's showtime someday.
31:23Fingers crossed for that.
31:27Me too.
31:29Next. Okay. Our next situation.
31:34A song you listen to in the morning. So, when you start your day.
31:42I listen to songs like...
31:48Not regular one but these days, Deja Vu by Tomorrow X Together.
32:04Oh, I like that too.
32:06Yes, because it seems like morning comes every day, right? I feel like Deja Vu.
32:15Yeah.
32:17It's this one, guys. It's Tomorrow by Together. Not Tomorrow X Together. Shout out.
32:29Okay.
32:33Yes.
32:35Next.
32:39A song when you feel happy and content.
32:42When I feel happy and content?
32:52Actually, I listen to Through the Night all the time.
32:58When I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm sleepy.
