00:00 We are here with our very own Leila Cobo at the second annual Billboard Latin Women in Music.

00:07 Leila, how do you feel?

00:08 I feel happy. This is her baby.

00:12 We've been all working on this non-stop for the past two months.

00:17 She has not slept.

00:20 Sigal has not slept. I have not slept.

00:23 So I feel very proud to finally see it come to life.

00:26 Tonight we are honoring Gloria Estefan, La India, Ana Bárbara, Camila Cabello,

00:31 our Women of the Year, Karol G, and so many more.

00:34 What word describes this group of women that we're honoring in 2024?

00:38 Powerful and unique. Three words. Powerful, unique, and immensely talented.

00:45 Because they really are immensely talented, each one in their own style.

00:48 And that makes it so much more exciting to watch.

00:52 Yesterday you said something that really empowered me.

00:55 And you said that when you started this career, or precisely working at Billboard almost 20 years ago,

01:00 you didn't have a role model.

01:02 So you never saw yourself as an executive.

01:05 You were a journalist, an aspiring journalist who had all these dreams.

01:09 How did you open your own, your own path?

01:12 Because even Gloria Estefan said that you're the real pioneer.

01:14 How did you open your own path as a woman in music?

01:19 I just did it.

01:21 Not to sound like a Nike commercial,

01:24 but I just did it, and did it, and did it, and then I saw the path.

01:30 But I feel like you start doing things and then kind of the paths open.

01:37 And now it's very clear to me.

01:40 Now I have goals.

01:41 Now I have...

01:42 Now we can do a lot in women in music.

01:44 Well, Leila, we see you on social media doing exercises, traveling.

01:53 I was just telling someone that I have Carol G on my playlist.

01:57 I have all these like power anthems on my playlist.
