INGREDIENTS OF MUTTON CHAAP
6 Servings
500 grams mutton ribs
4 onion
1 teaspoon ginger paste
2 teaspoon garlic paste
2 black cardamom
water as required
1 cinnamon stick
2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon clove
mace powder as required
spice chili powder as required
1 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 teaspoon cumin powder
3 peppercorns
1/2 cup vegetable oil
yoghurt (curd) as required
salt as required
HOW TO MAKE MUTTON CHAAP
Step 1 / 4 Marinate The Mutton Ribs
Wash the mutton ribs properly and gently then pat dry them using a kitchen towel. Take a large bowl and add curd, mace powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt to it. Mix all the ingredients well and marinate the mutton ribs in it. Refrigerate for some time.

Step 2 / 4 Saute Onions & Spices
Place a pressure cooker over medium flame and pour oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough add sliced onions to it. Saute the onions well till they turn translucent. Now add peppercorns, water, cloves, red chilli powder, spice chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, crushed black cardamom and salt to it. Mix well.

Step 3 / 4 Add The Marinated Mutton & Pressure Cook
Now, add the marinated mutton ribs into the pressure cooker and stir fry for minimum 20 minutes over medium flame. Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook till 6 whistles over medium flame.

Step 4 / 4 Serve Your Homemade Mutton Chaap!
Your mutton chaap is now ready to be served. Serve hot with steamed rice or chapatis and enjoy.
