00:00 Hello, I'm Derek from Versanta Restaurant here in the Merchant City.
00:04 So isn't it fantastic to see Scotland once again make it to a major international championships finals?
00:12 It's 2024 and we're beginning to get used to these things now.
00:16 I think the big game has to be Scotland versus Germany in the opening game of the Euros.
00:21 I mean the excitement is just palpable at the moment and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to
00:28 Scotland scoring three against Germany in the opening game.
00:31 So here at Versanta we are a contemporary Scottish restaurant.
00:35 We offer lots of homemade great Scottish cuisine and we've been here for six years
00:44 serving visitors from across the world and all the residents of Glasgow and further across Scotland.
00:50 All our food is fresh, it's made in-house and we use local suppliers.
00:56 So Scottish food is some of the best seafood in the world, it's some of the best meat in the world
01:03 and it's prepared with real passion and enthusiasm and of course you mustn't ever forget the wonderful
01:10 haggis that so many people want to try when they come and visit Scotland.
01:13 Well if you're wanting to have a really good experience either before or after one of our
01:22 games in this year's Euros then you can't go wrong with a wonderful fish and chips,
01:27 a real hearty steak pie but of course if you're really going to go the Scottish way
01:33 that has to be the haggis.
01:34 Ah the atmosphere is going to be absolutely electric.
01:38 We've got the fan zone just across the road in Merchant Square which I'm sure will be
01:42 absolutely bouncing and this whole area is going to be fantastic.
01:46 Again it's going to be a wonderful experience for Glasgow and for Scotland as a whole
01:52 and we're looking forward to some great results.
01:55 This is our new Tenants Lager glasses for the Euros and as you can see it's filled with
02:04 the wonderful liquid brewed just along the road there so I'm sure there'll be plenty
02:09 of this getting drank over the next few weeks.
