00:00 How on earth Colin did you get permission to do all this?
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're continuing our YouTube spotlight series,
00:09 where we highlight our favourite creators.
00:12 This episode is all about power tools and punk,
00:15 as we count down the top 10 most insane Colin Furze builds.
00:19 I think Colin you should build your own bunker,
00:22 so I have and everything on this is real and everything works.
00:26 Furze is an English ex-plumber, stuntman, inventor and YouTuber,
00:30 known for his outrageous and chaotic builds.
00:34 There we are, that's Weevelyn!
00:36 I've enjoyed this one.
00:38 What's next Colin?
00:40 His punk-driven, tea-fuelled videos have earned him not only notoriety and YouTube fame,
00:46 but a few world records, incredible sponsorships and almost two decades of awesome content.
00:52 Now secure that safety tie and let's go to the list.
00:56 10. The World's Longest Motorbike
01:01 Colin Furze has been entertaining us for a long time,
01:05 starting his channel all the way back in 2007.
01:08 In this 2008 video, which looks like it was filmed on a TI-83 calculator,
01:14 Colin decides that his moped is, well, not long enough.
01:24 He then proceeds to add more than 40 feet of steel beams to the frame of said moped
01:29 and a new world record was born.
01:31 Was it sturdy?
01:32 Nah.
01:33 Fast?
01:34 Hardly.
01:35 But it's become one of Colin's most famous and fun builds up to date,
01:47 and one hell of a way into his brilliant and somewhat chaotic engineering career on YouTube.
01:53 9. Furze's Fireworks
02:00 One thing is for sure, our man in the necktie loves to blow stuff up.
02:05 Whether it's by strapping an engine on it, or lighting a fire under it,
02:18 his general disregard for fire safety is well documented.
02:21 So throughout his career, he's done his best to bring a little more colour into his love for explosions.
02:26 Be it with a 1000 rocket bike, a 5000 shot firework death star,
02:41 a firework pendulum of chaos, or a firework safety suit inside a fireworks display,
02:47 his explosive projects could make even Disneyland tap out in defeat.
02:52 8. Jet-Powered Bike
02:57 At over 37 million views, Colin's jet-powered bike video is one of his most viewed.
03:03 The premise is simple.
03:09 He decided to put a 70-pound pulse jet engine on a, as he calls it,
03:14 "old woman's bike" and proceeds to ride it through the English countryside in his typical
03:19 "screw safety" way, to upwards of 50 miles per hour.
03:23 With no special modifications to brakes, steering or tyres,
03:31 and only his trusty safety tie for protection,
03:34 the viewer can't help but wince as Colin completes run after run with only a few flames here and there.
03:43 7. The Hulkbuster
03:45 Despite his out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to engineering and, well,
03:50 safety, brands have never shied away from sponsoring Colin's channel.
03:54 One of these deals came from eBay, who challenged Colin to build a working Hulkbuster armour,
04:06 with parts only sourced from the website.
04:08 "This is probably the most complicated thing I've ever made.
04:11 It's got like three hydraulic pumps, there's tubes and wires everywhere.
04:16 When it stands up it's like 3.2 metres high, which is ookin' massive."
04:21 However, this wasn't his first foray into Marvel Comics.
04:25 A few years earlier, Colin made his DIY X-Men series, which included Wolverine's claws,
04:31 another hit video on this channel with over 20 million views.
04:34 6. World's Fastest Bumper Car
04:39 In an effort to continue satiating his thirst for making slow things go fast,
04:44 Colin decided to strap a 600cc 100bhp sports bike engine onto a 1960s bumper car.
04:51 "So, we took this old piece of junk, and we turned it into this."
04:55 This caught the attention of Top Gear, one of the BBC's biggest sponsors.
05:00 And with the help of the Stig, Fers nailed himself a new world record with an average
05:04 speed of 100mph.
05:06 "Wahhh look at that! 100.336! Yessss!"
05:11 The bumper car joined the already interesting set of record-breaking Fers vehicles,
05:16 which include the world's fastest mobility scooter and the world's fastest baby print,
05:21 which reached a goo-goo gap of over 1,000mph.
05:24 "For your life! For your life!"
05:30 5. The Wall of Death
05:33 Let's take it back to the iMovie fever dream that was the origins of the Colin Fers channel
05:39 with 2007's Wall of Death.
05:42 "What we're doing, we're gonna build a wall of death!"
05:45 A few months prior, Colin's team was working on a new series of videos,
05:49 Wall of Death.
05:53 A few months prior, Colin broke his first record with the world's biggest bonfire,
05:58 a raging hellscape recorded in night vision.
06:00 Now with no sponsors, no challenges, no Stig, Fers was just a man with a dream.
06:07 Inspired by the Wall of Death attraction made popular by circuses and carnivals all over
06:12 the world, he built his very own Wall of Death in a field, using scrap wood left over from
06:18 the bonfire, and decided to ride it on a 50cc moped, which would later become a legend in
06:31 its own right.
06:35 4. The Hoverbike
06:37 In the intro to this video, Colin asks the question,
06:41 "But can someone with no engineering qualifications and no experience of flying
06:46 make something that actually leaves the ground?"
06:48 Well, the answer was a loud and, frankly, worrying yes. Using two paramotors,
06:54 some lightweight framing bars, and leaving out comforts like seats and any and all protection,
06:59 Colin created his most identifiable build of the channel, a hoverbike.
07:04 And based on the over 50 million views, this is easily one of the all-time favourite videos
07:14 on this channel.
07:15 For a plumber and a few weeks in his shed, I don't think I've done too bad, have I?
07:20 Cheers, Ford!
07:22 3. The Bunker
07:24 Anyone familiar with the channel knows that Colin's house is barely big enough to fit his
07:28 oversized engineering adventures. His solution? Take it underground.
07:33 Back in 2015, Fers decided that his garden was looking a bit too nice,
07:44 so he dug it up and started building Any Prepper's Dream, a fully equipped bunker,
07:49 complete with AC, a couch, entertainment system, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
07:54 So, better equipped than some housing options nowadays.
08:05 This project served as inspiration for his largest build to date, which we'll mention in a bit.
08:11 But for now, I think I'm deserved a well-earned cup of tea.
08:14 2. The AT-ACT
08:18 Apparently having not learnt anything from watching his videos,
08:22 eBay decided to give Colin the go-ahead for one of his largest and, frankly, coolest projects to date.
08:28 This is my huge 5.5m AT-ACT playhouse.
08:33 As part of a series based on Star Wars, Fers built a huge AT-ACT playhouse in his backyard,
08:40 complete with a hydraulic stairwell, gaming console,
08:43 moving head and cannons, and everything a growing Star Wars fan needs.
08:48 A year later, he added to this Star Wars collection, building an incredible 46ft long
08:58 recreation of Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer and a jet-powered land speeder like we saw in the
09:03 original trilogy. Before we continue, be sure to subscribe to our channel and ring the bell to get

09:24 1. The Tunnel
09:29 Now, if the underground bunker sounded like Colin's greatest feat of uncivil engineering,
09:34 the tunnel dug his way into YouTube legend status.
09:38 And ever since I've made it, I've always wanted a way of connecting it to this, my workshop,
09:42 and my house.
09:43 Over three years and a ten video long series, Fers dedicated most of his channel to the insane plan
09:50 of connecting his bunker to his workshop, garage, and house, all through a series of underground
09:56 tunnels.
09:56 We know where we are now, we've got it all marked up, we can see where we're going,
10:00 we just need to dig a little bit further.
10:02 From planning to execution, each stage of the series demanded everything from Fers.
10:07 And we got to watch the culmination of over a decade and a half of YouTube hijinks
10:11 and creative projects.
10:13 Walking through it, it's just absolute bliss, it is a wonderful place to be.
10:17 We know we left out some amazing Colin Fers builds, so shout them out in the comments below.
10:24 This is the future of pizza delivery.
