00:00 It's fulfilling, definitely, because the idea that we do not need to rent anymore is happy.
00:06 We can call someone who's already in our house.
00:09 And my mom is happy that I have my own house.
00:14 I started traveling back in 2010.
00:22 I enjoyed it because I was able to get to visit other places,
00:25 learn their culture, eat their food, and of course, their tourist destinations.
00:29 It was really enjoyable for me every time I traveled.
00:33 So I started then, and it just kept on going.
00:35 I planned to complete the 81 provinces of the Philippines.
00:39 It's been super 77 of 81.
00:42 During the pandemic, I had no other choice.
00:53 So I canceled all my flights.
00:55 Like my monthly flights to provinces that I haven't visited yet,
00:59 and then other international flights.
01:01 The airlines refunded, and then my budget for that trip was really saved.
01:07 So I was able to invest.
01:09 I wasn't able to pay for the house, but I got the courage to invest.
01:13 I gave a down payment, and I paid monthly amortization.
01:17 I didn't think that there would be a problem with the amortization.
01:20 Because there's no way I would bring the money.
01:22 So might as well.
01:23 We invested it into something that eventually, we'll be able to pass.
01:27 The plan to buy a house has been around for a long time.
01:33 My mom's always asking me to buy my own place.
01:37 Because I'm not getting any younger, so she said, "The travel is reduced."
01:41 It's been long enough for me to purchase my own house.
01:45 And then luckily, we found a place near Robinson's in Intah.
01:49 I told her that it's in Britain, and she'll be surprised.
01:51 So on our 72nd birthday, we bought it in the subdivision of Pagpapriyuan ng Bahay.
01:58 We showed her the lot and the house that we were going to build for our family.
02:02 Actually, all she said was, "Wow!"
02:04 She was surprised.
02:05 And that was her expression of the surprise.
02:08 And I think she's excited, actually.
02:10 Every time we talk to her, she's like, "Hey, let's plant on the other side of the house."
02:15 So that's what makes me excited.
02:19 That time, I think it's the perfect time.
02:21 Because she definitely has the money that she didn't have before.
02:25 And then it's a win-win situation because I'm able to fulfill my mom's wish.
02:30 So she's a win-win-win in every aspect.
