00:00 Is it a sisterhood though?
00:01 Because there have been so many people that have come and gone and, you know, speak positive, speak negative.
00:06 I mean, how...
00:07 I'm always surprised when people speak negatively about our show, actually, if I'm being honest.
00:12 Because, you know, we've had, I think, 27 years, we've had maybe 24 co-hosts.
00:17 And you are part of a sisterhood.
00:19 And it's really special.
00:20 Like, I spoke to Sherry Shepard last week.
00:22 I spoke to Paula Faris.
00:25 We had Candace Cameron Bray on the show.
00:29 And she has a vineyard and she has sent me her wine.
00:32 Like, we are all close, regardless of our personal views.
00:37 Like, we leave all of that at the table.
00:39 So I'm always surprised when someone says, like, "I don't like that person."
00:45 Because it's never personal.
00:46 And we go into it knowing that.
00:48 You know, Barbara Walters made sure I knew that when I joined.
00:52 You know, Whoopi says that all the time.
00:57 I've said that to Alyssa.
00:58 I'm going to argue you down to the ground.
01:01 And then we're going to go out for martinis and it's going to be okay.
01:04 And she understands that now.
01:06 Like, yeah, I'm going to argue with you.
01:08 But we're sisters now.
01:10 We're part of the sisterhood and welcome aboard, you know.
01:13 So it disappoints me when viewers think that we don't like each other, because we do.
01:19 Yeah.
01:20 So like, as soon as cameras, as soon as they say cut, walk off stage.
01:25 It's even more fun backstage.
01:26 I mean, you leave everything on the stage.
01:28 You have to.
01:29 Yeah.
01:29 I mean, how do you do what we do every single day, holding any kind of grudge,
01:37 thinking any kind of way about someone?
01:38 It has to be a safe space to be that vulnerable.
01:43 And to be clear, we are being very vulnerable.
01:45 I think it's one of the only jobs in television where we are that vulnerable.
01:50 Sure. Yeah.
01:51 Right?
01:51 I mean, we're talking about our families.
01:53 We're talking about, we've had co-hosts talk about struggles with mental health.
01:59 We've had co-hosts talk about weight loss, weight gain.
02:08 We've had co-hosts talk about divorce.
02:12 Everything that you can imagine.
02:14 Imagine if that's not a safe space when you get off that stage and go behind the table.
02:21 I mean, it would be an impossible job.
02:24 And there have been many times when I've gone backstage and Joyce or Whoopi has said,
02:30 "Come here. You okay?"
02:32 And I'm like, "I think."
02:33 And they'll hug me and say, "This is part of the gig."
02:36 And I go, "You're right. You're right."
02:37 I've done it with Alyssa.
02:38 I've gone into her dressing room and when she first started, she was really upset.
02:43 And I was like, "Come in for a hug. This is the gig. This is the gig."
02:47 Yeah.
02:48 And it's, we are like a little family, you know?
