01:42 Because we just acknowledge that there is median information

01:46 literacy.

01:48 And intervention as an individual,

01:50 or group on how we use different kinds of media,

01:53 and how we go with the information.

01:55 So on the side of the family, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

02:02 promote critical thinking in different areas

02:05 or in different fields.

02:07 indigenous peoples, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

02:10 children, and other stakeholders

02:13 in other communities.

02:15 So annually, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

02:16 gathering of MIL practitioners, advocates,

02:19 and champions through our national forum, which

02:22 we hold every January and February.

02:24 And we also have a web series where we conduct sessions.

02:35 when it comes to artificial intelligence.

02:41 OK, I understand that these ways on how

02:45 we would promote media information literacy

02:47 are really critical.

02:52 In layman's terms, [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

03:00 I mean, target mostly will be in schools.

03:03 And we'd like to emphasize that [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

03:15 It's possible that these competencies

03:21 from 12 skills under MIL, we now have 23 and counting.

03:33 we get to see these competencies when

03:36 it comes to properly evaluating and reviewing information

03:41 sources.

03:42 You mentioned [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH] national forums,

03:45 web series.

03:46 But you also learned that [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

03:49 international collaborations.

03:51 Tell us more.

03:51 Yes.

03:54 Last year, we had in celebration of the global MIL week

03:59 last October, we had these global conversations

04:02 with MIL experts.

04:04 So for example, we have Center for Media Literacy.

04:06 We have resource persons abroad.

04:08 And right now, we are exploring academic collaborations.

04:16 Last time, we partnered with the Philippine Librarians

04:18 Association, Incorporated, and also the Asian Congress

04:22 for Media and Communication.

04:24 You mentioned the three E's--

04:25 engage, empower, and--

04:27 Explore.

05:20 but we also want to talk to-- or we have healthy conversations

05:24 with parents since they are--

05:27 --very good partners, hopefully, in promoting MIL.

05:41 Yes, we just released the landmark issue

05:43 of the Philippine Journal for Media Information Literacy.

05:52 We have research engagements.

06:06 in terms of training.

06:08 And we're looking forward in the future
