Trump Outraises Biden in April 2024 Campaign Fundraising, as Hush Money Trial Drives Donations

Former President Donald Trump outraised President Joe Biden in campaign fundraising for April 2024, the first time Trump has outraised Biden for a 2024 fundraising period. Trump and the RNC jointly raised $76 million in April compared to $51 million raised by Biden, the DNC, and affiliated committees. Trump held a large fundraising event in April that raised over $50 million for his committees and Republican state parties. Trump's legal issues may be helping with fundraising as he solicited donations during his New York trial in April. Biden has invested more in campaign staffing so far with over 250 employees compared to around 65 for Trump.
