Waratah Super Battery
Transcript
00:00 The transformer that you can see behind me is one of three transformers that will connect
00:06 the Warratah Super Battery to the grid.
00:08 It was made in Australia, in Melbourne, and it's been transported up from Melbourne to
00:13 here on the Central Coast over the last eight days.
00:16 It's been transported on a 24-axle low loader.
00:19 It's had 25 people accompanying it on its journey.
00:22 A transformer this size can power 30,000 homes, but in this application it's going to help
00:27 the battery do what the battery needs to do, which is to stabilise the grid.
00:31 It's really significant because it's one of the long lead time equipment items for this
00:36 project and to see that arrive on schedule today really is important to show that the
00:42 project is on track for schedule completion in August 2025.
