00:00The National Amnesty Commission, or NAC, is now preparing the process of amnesty for the former rebels who returned to the government.

00:10According to NAC Commissioner Nasir Maruhom Salik,

00:13it is estimated that more than 100,000 former rebels will apply for amnesty from various left-wing groups,

00:20especially if the implementing rules and regulations of the Amnesty Proclamation are published.

00:26However, the commission clarified that they will not approve the amnesty.

00:30Instead, they will be the ones to file the case and make the recommendation.

00:35Those who committed rape, murder, and other heinous crimes cannot also receive the amnesty grant.

00:43The grant of amnesty is done by the President.

00:46The mandate of the National Amnesty Commission is to receive and process the amnesty applications

00:56and submit recommendations to the office of the President,
