00:00See, I am not having any political politics. I am just here for my father, to campaign for my father.
00:05After he will come out, you know, he has represented two times Langeeta as an MLA.
00:10Thank you for representing the people like he was before he was arrested.
00:31Now that the campaigning is over, what were your major focus in this campaign?
00:56Why this election is significant?
00:58For me, it is significant only because my father has been in jail for the last five years.
01:03In Pihar, jail number three.
01:05Actually, he was first in jail number four, then shifted to jail number three.
01:08So, I am basically not involved in politics.
01:11I have an exam from the 25th of May.
01:14So, I was expecting that the government of India will release my father after his release.
01:20But that didn't happen.
01:22So, I have to take the responsibility of campaigning for my father.
01:26So, it is just the people.
01:28Because of these days, I will be back.
01:31For me, it is significant because my father is in jail.
01:34And by the power of the vote of my people, I can get my father out of jail.
01:39You have been saying that you will take the revenge of Pihar from the vote.
01:42Is it reflecting the large silence in Kashmir?
01:47It is not actually me who has arrested him.
01:50It is the people who have arrested him.
01:53We want to get him out with our vote.
01:57So, a lot of political parties are talking about getting him out.
02:01Why this issue has come now during elections?
02:04Why not the past five years?
02:05Why there is silence?
02:06As you know, Avtaar sir and others have done a lot of political business.
02:10But if you can check it out, it is my father.
02:15He may be the Prime Minister of North Kashmir.
02:20And they have been talking about him.
02:22I was expecting them to support, but they didn't support.
02:26My father can represent those who have been arrested because he has suffered a lot.
02:31He knows what a prisoner feels inside the jail.
02:36Our problem is in this.
02:37So, I think if he gets out of jail, and if the Parliament can represent better those Indians
02:43who are under trial and are innocent.
02:45How this parliamentary election will change the course of politics in Kashmir?
02:49See, I am not having any political politics.
02:51I am just here for my father.
02:54After he will come out, you know, he has represented two times, Langitaj and MLA.
03:00Thank you for representing the people like he was before he was arrested.
03:06So, I am hoping that he will come out.
03:09He will talk about everything.
03:11He used to talk about basic rights and human rights and all other basic education etc.
03:18So, he will come out.
03:19He will just keep on talking.
03:21My last question is, how do you see your party's prospect?
03:27I think people will vote.
03:30By and large, voting percentage will be very high.
03:34As good or bad, you know, it shows that we are more than good people.
03:38So, I think it is very important for democracy.
03:41I am hopeful that these youngsters will join us.
03:46By their own, they are more confident.
03:48So, I think they will just come out.
03:53As you are a political party, have you changed the discourse in Kashmir for the past one week?
03:58Yeah, absolutely.
03:59I am seeing Awamiya Chowk Party as an alternative in the future elections.
04:04And I hope that the next generation of Awamiya Chowk Party will change the discourse
04:10and they will emerge as the best alternative for all the people.
