00:00 Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:03 This is our update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:08 We will see here in our latest satellite images, this thick fog.
00:14 Here in the northern part of our country, the continuous effect of shoreline
00:19 or the accumulation of hot and cold air in the area of the extreme northern Luzon.
00:24 So in the mentioned area today, we will experience a high chance of heavy rain
00:29 with a slight chance of thunderstorms.
00:31 Here in Metro Manila and the southern part of our country,
00:35 the easterly wind or the wind coming from the Pacific Ocean
00:38 is the weather system that will be affected.
00:41 So this hot and cold weather will continue this morning until the afternoon
00:46 but when it reaches the afternoon until the evening,
00:49 we will experience a chance of sudden and sudden rainstorms
00:53 followed by localized thunderstorms.
00:56 And at the moment, we are not yet monitoring the low pressure area or the weather
01:00 inside and outside our Philippine area of responsibility
01:04 that may affect any part of our country in the coming days.
01:09 For the weather forecast for the Luzon today,
01:15 because of the shoreline, we will experience a heavy rainstorm
01:18 with a slight chance of rain, hail and lightning in the areas of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
01:25 Here in Metro Manila and the southern part of Luzon,
01:28 this generally fair weather conditions will continue this morning
01:32 but when it reaches the late afternoon to evening,
01:35 the chance of thunderstorm activity is high.
01:38 So we still bring an umbrella because we can experience
01:41 or we can possibly experience sudden and sudden rainstorms
01:46 later in the afternoon until the evening.
01:48 Maximum temperature forecast for the day is possible to reach 34 degrees Celsius.
01:54 34 degrees Celsius in the area of Tagaytay and 25 degrees Celsius in the Baguio City.
02:00 Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila is possible to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
02:05 32 degrees Celsius in the area of Tagaytay and 34 degrees Celsius in the Legazpi City.
02:12 In the areas of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,
02:17 it is partly cloudy until the cloudy afternoon when there are chances of rainstorms
02:22 that we will experience today.
02:25 And in the early morning, we have thunderstorm activity
02:30 that we have recorded here in the central portions of Mindanao,
02:33 particularly in the regions of Northern Mindanao, Barm and Soc Sargen.
02:38 These rainstorms are just a brief one and we expect that our time will be clearer later in the morning.
02:45 But when it reaches the late afternoon to evening,
02:48 we will experience a high chance of thunderstorm activity in Visayas and Mindanao.
02:54 So, let's be prepared because it is still possible that sudden floods or landslides will cause these thunderstorms.
03:02 Maximum temperature forecast here in Calayan Islands and Puerto Princesa today
03:07 is possible to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
03:10 And 33 degrees Celsius here in the areas of Iloilo, Cebu and Tacloban City.
03:16 Maximum temperature forecast in Cagayan de Oro for today is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
03:22 35 degrees here in Davao and 34 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga.
03:28 In the current sea conditions, there is still no high-level gale warning in any of our islands.
03:35 And light to moderate waves that we will experience in a large part of our country.
03:40 Be careful, our fellow fishermen, because if we have offshore thunderstorm activity,
03:46 these are the rains on our coastline.
03:48 We expect strong winds, which will affect the upper part of our islands.
03:55 And for our three-day weather outlook in the surrounding areas of our country,
04:00 here in Luzon, in the areas of Metro Manila, Baguio City and Legazpi City,
04:05 for the next three days, starting tomorrow, Sunday to Tuesday,
04:09 we will continue to experience hot and cloudy weather,
04:12 except for the chances of isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
04:18 Maximum temperature forecast in Metro Manila for the next three days is possible to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
04:24 26 degrees here in Baguio City and 34 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City.
04:32 Here in Visayas, in the areas of Metro Cebu, Iloilo City and Tacloban City,
04:39 we expect generally fire weather conditions,
04:41 except for the chances of sudden and rapid rain showers followed by thunderstorms.
04:47 Maximum temperature forecast in Metro Cebu for the next three days is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
04:53 33 degrees here in the area of Iloilo City and 33 degrees Celsius here in Tacloban City.
05:01 Here in Mindanao, in the areas of Metro Davao, Cagayan de Oro City and Sambuanga City,
05:07 for the next three days, we will continue to experience hot and cloudy weather.
