00:00Punches up, listen to me, punch him.
00:17Box!
00:30Listen to me, listen to me.
00:33I don't know, I don't know.
00:38Look at me, look at me.
00:42It's all there, it's all there.
00:45At least you can do it.
00:54You have to close it.
01:01Make sure, make sure.
01:18Well, if you're familiar with Olympic style boxing,
01:22and you've been watching and competing in it as many years as I have,
01:27you actually become familiar with the boxer's styles
01:31from the country that they come from.
01:34You can often just tell where a boxer comes from
01:37based on the way that he boxes,
01:40which sounds a little bit complex,
01:43but this is most certainly the case.
01:46And I know that the thousands of amateur or Olympic style boxers
01:51that are listening to this tournament
01:56here tonight, this fantastic tournament in Monaco,
02:00will understand exactly what I'm talking about.
02:03And here you see the classic Kazakh style of the high lead hand,
02:09sharp, snappy jabs,
02:12wide stance footwork,
02:15normally quite aggressive,
02:19and the Italian style is normally quite flamboyant,
02:23very unorthodox, a little bit ungainly.
02:30They like to move around in different positions
02:37and try to, let's say, steal punches without sounding disrespectful,
02:43but of course they've had some great success in Olympic style boxing over the years,
02:48and will continue to.
02:50Naturally, very confident people.
02:59Nice footwork from the man in black.
03:20Stop.
03:50Stop.
04:01Cavallaro trying to draw the lead there from Raias,
04:06but being met by the counter punches as well.
04:09Stop.
04:19Stop. Listen. No holding.
04:22Listen. No holding.
04:39Stop.
04:51Stop.
04:58Just caught him with the jab there.
05:01The man in white, Raias from Kazakhstan,
05:05trying to get a reaction,
05:06but a response from Cavallaro,
05:10with the hope that he's maybe going to overreach so he can run him into a counter shot,
05:15although he is the more aggressive operator here.
05:21Stop.
05:33Cavallaro looking to counter punch here and having success as well.
05:39Raias' feet look a little bit laden, a little bit heavy.
05:44He's just not getting his feet into range.
05:47Falling short with his shots a little bit.
05:50Stop.
05:53Head up, gold. Head up.
06:01Oh, lovely right hook there from Cavallaro.
06:06Another nice Czech jab and a one-two.
06:10He's really finding his rhythm a little bit better here in round two than Raias,
06:14who's still not quite caught up there,
06:17but that's a very stiff right hand.
06:20Cavallaro seems a little bit unsettled there,
06:23just as he was having a little bit of success.
06:28He runs onto a good right hand, well-timed right hand.
06:32Raias put him in a very good position there to drop that shot in.
06:36With a nice bit of weight as well, he's having success with some head shots now.
06:43Not the best decision from Cavallaro to go train him with this guy.
06:48No wrestling, no wrestling.
06:51Referee making his point there that he doesn't want any roughhouse tactics from the Italian.
07:01Cavallaro seems to have lost his way ever so slightly here.
07:05Just as it looked like he was having a little bit of success,
07:08Raias has really came back into this contest.
07:11Looked like his feet were a little bit laden
07:13and his hands were moving a little bit quicker than his feet,
07:18but everything seems to have caught up now.
07:20There's a good right hand as well from Raias,
07:22and a good left hook as well.
07:24Cavallaro's looking a little bit uncomfortable here,
07:29considering there's another three rounds to go on top of this.
07:33We only have 15 seconds left.
07:37Well, that round was cut short.
07:40There was still 14, 15 seconds left in that round that was on the clock.
07:46Why it was cut short, I don't know,
07:48but the timekeeper certainly did ring that bell on my clock here
07:54and on the clock on the screen.
07:5616 seconds short,
07:58just when Raias looked to be gaining a little bit of momentum and landing some heavy shots.
08:04Cavallaro was pretty fortunate there
08:07for that bell to ring.
08:20This is where the right hand and the left hook comes in.
08:25It was just prior to that stumble.
08:31Never took much to take him down there really.
08:37Hey, come on!
08:39Hey, listen, OK?
09:06Both guys just falling short a little bit.
09:27Still trying to assert their dominance.
09:37Raias just having a little break, having a little look at Cavallaro there.
09:53Deciding not to throw any punches.
09:57Maybe feels like he needs a little break in the action.
10:06On the right jab there, Cavallaro to try and land a 1-2-3.
10:20Nice jab from Raias, another nice jab.
10:23Feet and hands going together there.
10:31A lot of pop on that jab there, another good jab from Raias.
10:34It's a fantastic jab when he gets it working.
10:37And it comes from an extended left hand, it doesn't have that far to travel.
10:43Tries for the right hand through the middle there.
10:49That little break that Raias had a minute or so ago was possibly just to have a look at Cavallaro,
10:54just to see what openings he could exploit.
11:01And a good right hand again.
11:05Step back, don't turn around, don't turn around.
11:08Punch!
11:20Oh, nice counter-punching from Cavallaro there.
11:27No effect on Raias who looks teak tough.
11:35This jab from Cavallaro.
11:40You always want to see a southpaw establish that jab really quickly.
11:44They make life so much easier for themselves if they get their jab going.
11:49And just learn how to drift off to the right.
11:54That was a much better round from Raias there.
11:57And I believe him and the Kazakhstan corner will feel that they really gained a bit ground there on that.
12:04And I think this man has it all to do over the next two rounds.
12:09Because going by that second round, the third round,
12:15it looks like Raias is really starting to find his ground and land his shots.
12:21When he chooses to land them, he's getting his feet into distance.
12:24He's used a very sharp jab there.
12:28Decided to take a little break in that round as well.
12:31There's a nice leaped right hand.
12:36Bloody lip there as well.
12:43From the man in black and gold.
12:48Keep listening, keep listening, yes?

15:08now all the boys stop step back
15:12box
15:22no holding boys no holding break step up boys step back come back
15:34nice right hand there from raya took a little bounce in his step i could just see that he was
15:41looking to detonate something quite big there just with the
15:48the feet work that he used a little step in a little skip in a little skip out
15:52he dropped in that nice heavy one too
15:56they were still firing back but no as much menace as it was earlier
16:01stop
16:07another raya's round for me there
16:30i mentioned earlier they just took a little bounce in his step to detonate that one too
16:47old school trick really
16:51give your opponent the idea that you're just having a little bit of a break a little bit of
16:55a bounce try and reset your legs and then you spring into action with a nice combination
17:02keep listening stop holding step and watch your head
17:26uh
17:35stop stop step back back at the edge no okay box
17:48back
18:05no holding no holding keep working keep working stop back at the head door the referee calling
18:12for both guys to keep working and rightly so taking little breaks up close there
18:20stop holding stop holding understand but referee not happy with
18:25cavaleros dip into the head of course can always cause infringements and head clashes which
18:33don't normally end that well if a fighter's eyebrows in line with his opponent's forehead
18:39almost almost results in a cut which is something that no one wants really
18:46don't want contests in caliber cut short i'm sure everyone wants to see
18:53every round that happens and goes by here with the quality and caliber of this
19:00box fantastic high ba night of champions come on
19:11he's done a very good job the referee here tonight i know it's probably
19:16irritating a lot of listeners he's actually done a very very good job in keeping both fighters safe
19:22and uncut to keep this about as clean as it could because this is the type of
19:29bout that can get very messy stop anyone that knows the sport of boxing well will understand that
19:38southpaws a southpaw versus an orthodox boxer can often result in some nasty head clashes because
19:46of the position of their lead hands stop stop
19:52of course styles come into play as well
19:58stop
20:06watch your heads watch your heads heads coming dangerously close again
20:12and as someone who's been cut a number of times in the professional ring i know how
20:20disrupting it is to a contest
20:24and there is blood streaming from the nose with rias there although i do not
20:29think that came from a punch i'm sure that was from a clash of heads
20:34that's
20:38this cavalier will seem to be getting his head down at that last minute
20:42right it's a little bit of a height advantage so that normally can go against
20:47the boxer who is in danger of getting cut
20:58but another top class contest there
21:00but with two very contrasted styles both guys having success but for me
21:08right it's done enough to secure a victory there
21:14but i got the last contest wrong and i must say i very rarely get a contest wrong but
21:22this
21:26the last month grouse and arlen lopez was very very close and could have went either way
21:34let me please welcome to the ring the iba sports director
21:37marco petrich to pre uh give the fighters their ceremonial certificates
21:42and ladies and gentlemen how about a hand for both of our boxers in the ring here
22:12ladies and gentlemen we go to our judges scorecards where we have a split decision
22:26in front of your winner
22:30in the black corner representing wow
22:34wow
22:41iba sports director marco petrich now to hand out the ceremonial
22:47ladies and gentlemen well again a very very close contest one in which i had raya's three two up
