OpenAI Co-Founder and Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever Steps Down, Leaves Company

Ilya Sutskever, co-founder and chief scientist of OpenAI, is officially leaving the company. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced Sutskever's departure and thanked him for his contributions to founding OpenAI and advancing its mission. Jakub Pachocki, director of research at OpenAI, will replace Sutskever as chief scientist. Sutskever said he would be working on a personally meaningful project, which he would announce details on later. Sutskever was involved in a failed coup last year to remove Sam Altman from his role at OpenAI.
