00:00 - Thank you.
00:01 - Thank you.
00:02 - Ms. Radesha, you want to give us some closing thoughts, observations?
00:03 - Sure.
00:04 Every time I've gone and visited a prison, I've met some of the smartest individuals
00:15 with the brightest ideas.
00:17 And to see the changes that are happening to make their reentry easier, I think is going
00:26 to be life-changing and give so many people hope, especially with the small business loans
00:31 and having the opportunity for this to make those ideas that they have inside come out
00:40 and realize those dreams.
00:43 I used to think, "Well, the goal is just to get out, right?
00:48 And then everything's all good.
00:50 And then everything is just perfect."
00:52 In my head, not knowing.
00:54 I was so naive to think that that's all that was needed.
01:01 And then as you get out and you realize, "Oh, there's hurdle and obstacle and hurdle and
01:08 obstacle every step of the way."
01:11 And to just know that there are people that are dedicated and committed to changing that
01:16 and to helping people really start their businesses, create a real life for themselves, is just
01:23 inspiring and what pushes me to want to continue to do the work that I do.
01:28 So I'm learning every step of the way of what needs to be done.
01:33 And I think a super important part of it is just telling your stories so that people that
01:42 are in the position to help can open up their hearts and learn along the way with us what
01:49 needs to be done.
01:50 Because if you haven't been in the system and you aren't really aware of those challenges,
01:56 you can still do your part on amplifying those ideas.
02:00 So together with your stories is just what's necessary to really help.
02:07 And obviously with all the change that is going on and all of the attention to the second
02:14 chances is just so beautiful to see.
02:18 So thank you and thank everyone here for just being so open and vulnerable.
