(Adnkronos) - Il nuovo patto di stabilità approvato oggi al Parlamento Europeo prevede regole sui bilanci pubblici che per l’Italia sono più favorevoli rispetto a quelle "esistenti", perché il ‘vecchio’ patto di stabilità è rientrato in vigore formalmente all’inizio del 2024. Lo dice il commissario europeo all’Economia Paolo Gentiloni, a Strasburgo a margine della plenaria del Parlamento.

00:00 We must always remember that all this happens not in a situation of lack of balance sheets,
00:10 as was the situation from March 20, 2020 to the end of 2023.
00:16 We have had almost four years in which the European balance sheets were suspended,
00:25 and in which each country could make the choices.
00:30 We are all aware that a monetary union that shares the same currency must have common balance rules.
00:40 The ones that have been approved today are certainly better than those that have existed,
00:48 because since 1 January those previous ones have come back into force.
00:53 So the message is very simple, the rules that the Parliament has definitively approved today
01:02 are better, because they are more flexible, because they are more open to investments,
01:07 because they give more autonomy to individual countries than to existing ones.
