00:09 Okay, I just want to say thank you for everyone coming down today.
00:12 I'm not going to talk for ages because my voice is virtually gone.
00:16 So you're in luck, it'll be nice and short.
00:19 But we are very excited as the Stirling District Union Partnership
00:24 to be celebrating the Lost Railway exhibition boards that have now gone in.
00:29 As you can see, went in in December.
00:32 We're getting a lot of positive feedback, so we're really, really pleased with them.
00:36 I just want to do a quick thank you to some of the people that are here as well
00:40 and the people that have been involved, mainly obviously the National Park
00:44 for their funding alongside the Community Rail Network
00:48 and the South East Communities Rail Partnership
00:52 for all of the work they've done to help us get that funding and secure the installation.
00:57 Also the Stirling Museum for all the brilliant work they've done
01:01 and our fabulous working party that have worked really, really hard
01:05 to obviously get the information together and produce these boards.
01:08 Obviously without volunteers and those types of people,
01:11 you won't get projects like this to happen, so we're very, very grateful.
01:16 Also for Bramber Parish Council as well, because they will hopefully be
01:21 the asset managers of these for a long, long time to come.
01:26 I also want to do one special thanks to Michael Bissett-Powell
01:30 who actually put together all the design work for everything we see.
01:34 So very, very successful project. Very, very pleased with everyone that's helped.
01:38 And it's exciting that it's now here and ready for people to use.
01:43 So without further ado, I'm going to hand you over to Stephen Cranford
01:46 who's going to do our opening.
01:48 Well, thank you very much, Russell.
01:50 I've been amazed at the interest in this old railway line, perhaps the most, in 1966.
01:57 And it's amazing that nearly 60 years later, there's still an awful lot of fondness
02:02 and love for the old Stirling line.
02:04 And the fact that we're actually standing pretty much where the track was
02:08 all those years ago makes it extra special.
02:11 So the fact that these lost railway exhibition boards are here for future generations
02:15 to see more of them as a given task, I think is a great thing that we've all achieved.
02:20 And I'm very flattered that the opportunity is, because Tracing Rail Series 1
02:26 is focusing on the Stirling line, and I've been amazed at the amount of things
02:31 I've discovered that are still there.
02:34 So I look forward to not only looking at these in the future, but also the other boards
02:40 that will hopefully make their way north up the line to Port Horsham
02:43 and maybe, who knows, onto Port Kiel for this run.
02:47 So, I have the great pleasure, I'm delighted to officially open
02:52 the Bramber Lost Railway Exhibition.
