00:00 The Swedish philosophy lands in Italy with Aira, a company born just two years ago that provides technological solutions for clean energy to consumers and is destined to become the first European direct-to-consumer brand in the sector.
00:17 On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2024, the company presented the new Aira heat pump, the third edition, at home everywhere in 2024 in the spaces of the Tortona Design District.
00:27 The mission of Aira is to face the third largest CO2 emissions in Europe and residential heating, accelerating the electrification and decarbonization of our homes through the use of smart heat pumps.
00:41 Promoting the revolution of clean energy, a cultural change to move from old fossil fuels-based solutions to more sustainable and clean energy alternatives, also guaranteeing economic savings to families. To realize its intention, it is also committed to train and hire 4,000 people in Italy in the next 10 years.
00:59 Aira in Italy also participates in the training of a new category of professionals. We call them clean energy experts. They are people who are able to inform people about the benefits of the heat pump, but also to install the heat pump, which is a fundamental thing in the next 10 years.
01:22 In Italy there are 200,000 people involved in the maintenance of the heaters, instead 200,000 people need to install the heat pump, so we are here to train people.
01:34 Designed to naturally integrate with the surrounding environment, thanks to a specific palette of colors, the Aira heat pump boasts soft, rounded lines and a minimalist and functional aesthetic, characteristic of Swedish design, known around the world for its attention to the environment and its sober essence.
01:51 We really believe that homes can be more self-sufficient and sustainable by switching and ditching their gas boiler for a heat pump and the Aira heat pump, which I'm standing in front of today.
02:03 By doing that, that's really the biggest step a person can make to reduce their CO2 emissions from their heating, but also to help save money on their heating bills.
02:14 And that's really just the start of the journey. Once you have a heat pump, you can make up to 40% savings on your heating costs.
02:22 A design that turns the rigid aesthetics of heat pumps, therefore with a technological heart and a digital first approach, which well fit into one of the latest trends presented at the fair.
02:33 The Product Services System Design is characterized as one of the new frontiers of design and is a systemic approach to the product and services that concern it. In this sense, Aira follows this philosophy.
02:46 Because it is no longer just the product that heats or cools, but it is the system of heating and cooling, not only as a product, but as energy, how much energy, what energy and the services that the consumer offers to access this good.
03:04 In economic terms, in terms of service, it is trivial to say that it organizes its own network of installers instead of relying on external networks to provide the best type of service.
03:14 And also by simplifying the product from a design point of view and therefore not to exaggerate in materials, not to be redundant in aesthetics, but to be really functional, but in terms of aesthetically pleasant and understandable to the user.
