00:00 You know, so this is the dynamic of the play in that I know they created something fun
00:05 and look, we're talking about it here.
00:07 But the end result is, I mean, Knicks fans have to be like, you got to be kidding me
00:12 here.
00:13 We got to play Philadelphia after the season that we had.
00:15 Philly just cruised through the last two months of the season.
00:18 Didn't care if they won or lost without Joel Embiid.
00:20 Let's just get him back.
00:21 Now they're favored to win the series.
00:23 Now, again, it's slight if you look at the money line odds, I believe it's minus 114.
00:27 So this is a pick 'em series, but I don't know.
00:31 I mean, Kyle, this is the dynamic to me that bothers me a little bit about the NBA.
00:35 And I suppose Philadelphia could have been in the seven spot anyway, but you don't really
00:39 have to, right?
00:40 Like you just kind of have to get your way in there and it wouldn't shock anybody at
00:44 this point if the Sixers stay healthy and win the series.
00:48 Yeah, I completely agree because, you know, you look at the 76ers as a team that if Joel
00:53 Embiid never got hurt, we're probably looking at them as a top three.
00:56 I would say definitely top four team in the Eastern Conference this year, but they went
00:59 on a serious skid after he went out with that knee injury.
01:03 And that's how they ended up in this position in the first place.
01:05 So now, you know, the New York Knicks, hey, you earned the number two seed.
01:09 No one really expected you to do that.
01:11 And congratulations, your reward is the reigning MVP, Joel Embiid in the first round of the
01:15 playoffs.
01:16 And I will say Embiid played well last night, but he looked gassed.
01:18 Like he looked like he was out of shape.
01:20 He looked like he hasn't played, you know, the minutes load that he's going to need for
01:23 the Sixers to advance in the postseason.
01:25 So I actually do still like the Knicks in this series, but it's going to be a lot tougher
01:29 than it would have been if, you know, they had lost on that last day of the regular season
01:33 and maybe dropped down to the number three seed the way that the Milwaukee Bucks did,
01:36 whether it was intentionally or unintentionally to take on the Indiana Pacers in the first
01:40 round.
01:41 So, you know, I think it's going to be a rock fight of a series.
01:43 I think that does kind of favor the Knicks a little bit.
01:45 I do think that, you know, between Isaiah Hardenstein and even though Mitchell Robinson
01:48 has been dealing with an injury, those two bigs, they might be able to disrupt Joel
01:52 Embiid a little bit.
01:53 Jalen Brunson has been playing at an MVP candidate level.
01:57 And I do just kind of feel like this Knicks team has found a groove, even without Julius
02:00 Randle, you know, to get it done defensively, riding Jalen Brunson offensively.
02:05 And then, you know, Dante DiVincenzo, Josh Hart, different guys, OG and Inouye stepping
02:09 up on the defensive end to kind of pull that team together.
02:12 So I do like the Knicks in this series, even though they are the underdogs as the number
