Where Has a Part of Apollo 12 Been for 33 Years?

Back in 1969, Apollo 12 made its historic moon landing. But get this – 33 years later, a part of it mysteriously vanished! Turns out, astronaut Charles "Pete" Conrad left behind a camera timer on the moon's surface. Fast forward to 2002, and a group of scientists using lunar satellite images found the thing! Talk about a blast from the past, right? So, for over three decades, that little piece of Apollo 12 was just chilling up there, waiting for its moment in the spotlight. Guess space really does have a knack for keeping secrets. Credit:
